Thank you for all the times that you:
provided snacks
lent me a blanket
talked me out of climbing that thing
were a shoulder to cry on
gently reminded me we had somewhere to be
told me to let go
forgot how much money i owed you
lent me your notes
put up with my moodiness
and my ungratefulness and my thoughtlessness
were just there
I am a child.

the way your hair
falls to frame your face,
and caress your shoulders
the way i wish to.

the soft arch
of your brow,
like gates.

your eyes,
a more beautiful
reflection.

the gentle turn of
your nose
and
your high
round cheeks.

ah!
and your lips!
to feel the
heat
of your breath...

and to be
able to
brush your neck
with hungering
kisses.

the low Valley
between
your *******.
garden
of sweetest
flowers.

and surely,
to rest upon
your thighs;
those beautiful
Hands
entwined
in my hair.

and then tracing
the length of
your legs.

each

seperately.

kissing behind
your knees.
while i wonder
where these feet
have traveled.

My life is beginning
to feel like
a patchwork quilt
of deadlines
and tasks.
Even doing nothing
has started to seem
like something to do,
just another thing
to check off my
list,
with a certain amount
of time allotted for it,
and a clear time
to move on to
the next thing,
lest I fall behind.
Weeks,
days,
sometimes even
hours
are divided
and categorized
by what I should be
doing
in them.
I don't allow
any passion projects
too engrossing
or time-consuming
for fear of
losing
              myself
                              in
                                      it
and forgetting my responsibilities.
All I can think
when my heart
nudges me to
read a book
or
write a story
is that I have
no time,
no time,
no time
for such things,
and that I must be
conscientious before, and over, content.
Busyness is beginning to take over.

Don't wait for her, oh heart.
Let her be gone.
She was like an Air India flight & you're on her no-fly list like Ravindra Gaikwad!
Indian politician from Maharashtra by the name of Ravindra Gaikwad misbehaved with a flight crew member and slapped him just to flaunt his power. He was blacklisted by the Indian Aviation Industry and he can no longer fly to any destinations.

Thanks for the inspiration for this write, Kalpana Arora ji.

A funny poem.

I CALCULATIONS

A bird from the window
Pecked at my papers
Lined with my scores.

Now trees are dead,
And papers are gone.
This is the computer age.

I will break it down for you.
I even made a list,
Would you like to count?

II THE LIST

1.This is the computer age
    Of digitized proofs
       And

2.Authority attested identies,
     With participants' certificates.

3.Our own words have lost meaning

4.We are now vessels
With our definition stapled on screens
      And

5.Meagre salaries
    Tagged on our foreheads.

6.We are our grades.

7.The given guidelines,
      Projects we finished overnight.
We are the cheated test scores,

8.The printed marksheets
       From the renowned buildings.

9.We are a bunch of degrees.

10.We are a box of experience
With a reciept of coffees we bought,
We are a cv of what we did.

11.We are the said lies
        And

12.The stress calmed by mummbled slurs.

13.We are the second employee
        Shouted at.
          And

14.We are the hundredth consumer
       With company approved needs.

15.We are the salesperson with quotas to meet.

16.We are the owners
       Of a dying business,
         A pending debt.

17.We are the numerous people
Of covered faces on the streets

18.And exposed bodies in the world wide web.

19.We are the constructed
         Digital photographs
            With deconstructed heads.

20.We are a bunch of numbers

21.We are a bunch of numbers

22.We are a bunch of numbers,

23.When did we become

24. A 0 or a 1?

People shouldn't even fit in a whole encyclopedia

And yet here,
Are you looking for a number 25?

III RESULT

Well I gave the papers to the bird,
She put it in her nest
And made it warmer.

You call me crazy
But I will always
Call myself a free bird.
Sometime in winter I must have burned newspapers.

blue mercury May 2017
peach coloured cheeks
sweet tea lips pink and sugary
georgia, oh georgia
a song buzzing on the highways

true love bleeding rubies
gems and glitter
love and need
cuddling under florescents

dream state
all this time i have been set ablaze
shocked

electric shock from firecracker veins
transmitting energy from my soul to yours
soft skin
one hundred percent cotton

i ran away when there was no place i wanted to be
but here
i was trying something new, trying to create a feeling by listing various things. so, how do you feel?

also here's a link to my blog where you can get to know me and read poems and things (:

How far would you go to save the world?
How far would you go for just one?
Would you sail through the darkest of waters?
Would you feel the heat of the sun?
there's beauty out there in the clouds
With suspicious peace lurking in the unknown
If ambition without limits was allowed
Tell me, how high your mind would have flown?

There's galaxies seen in wondering eyes,
Formality imploding your dreams
Have you sewn all these elegant thoughts
Society tries so hard to pull at the seams
You have a spark, they envy so terribly
They'd ****** to tear it apart
But shine, like innocence, even in the darkest of dark

The rain was made for dancing
Trust kids, they have it so right
When the room turns pitch black menacing,
They turn on their night light.
If you are lost and have seen no sun for a while
Unsure of what tomorrow will bring,
Start simple and put on a smile
Attitude can change everything
