"Do not judge them,"
She whispered softly,
"You may be old,
But you have yet to live as well."

And they stared at her,
For the first time in decades,
With eyes wide with wonder.
"But I have seen so many things,
I am certain I know more."

"No,"
Smiled the crone,
Orange eyes twinkling like starlight.
"You know what you know for yourself,
And yourself alone. Your wisdom is yours."

"Shouldn't I make my wisdom theirs as well?"
Cried the playwright.
"They're making too many mistakes, I have to fix it."

And still, the crone continued to smile.
"Their mistakes are theirs to make."
She reached out and placed a hand upon the playwrights' paper.
"Just as your wisdom is yours, their experiences are theirs, and just as valid as yours."
She took the quill from the playwright, and tucked the crow's feather in her hair.
"Allow them to grow without your bias."

"But I don't approve--"
The crone gave the playwright a bright smile,
Though her eyes were dark,
Which ultimately shut them up.

"Your place is not to judge. It is to nurture. It is to guide."
She said softly, though her tone was much more assertive.

"Then let me guide,"
The playwright began.

"There is a vast divide between guidance and control."
The vision of her shimmered, and she took a step back.

"I don't understand."
The playwright held their head in their hands, knuckles white while gripped onto curls.

"And you will not understand until you yourself live."
The old crone cooed, before her image blew away in soft red wind.

And there the playwright was left,
A half written letter filled with judgment and smudged ink,
And no quill to finish it with.
They fell back into their chair,
Glaring at their writing desk.

Whether or not the crone was right or wrong,
They still didn't get their quill back.
Just a thought.

But we decided to play hide and seek in this bed
Pulling the sheets over our eyes instead
Gripping each other through the heat of the moment
Bitter Monday mornings when our eyes were forced to open
Guilty pleasures and a wrong turn in judgment
Amidst the pillow-talk and screams you became my weekend sacrament
Just because. Good night

I am afraid to imagine
I don't know what
could make me happier
to shake the hand of
a new found friendship
to really get to know someone
talk for a while
never judge by looks
or just a pretty smile
what really matters is
whom we find inside
we have to see whats there
we might be surprised of the
friendships we could share
we have to analyze, ask questions
and take the time to get to know them
yet it's not always easy to open up
never judge their book by its cover
don't over look the qualities
that looks can sometimes hide
I received a note from "Desire rod"  in her message she sent this link--- http://hellopoetry.com/poem/1763727/friends/

I didn't really understand what she was asking... but  I think
she wanted me to write a new poem with the same meaning...
and I wrote one as I replied to her message....
and ...... here it is.....

What do you think???

I love these aircrafts rambling overhead,
Fighter jets they practise for the J-day,
But the judgement day never comes,
And forever its threat looms here,
Scaring all the civilians to ****,
Just constipating our minds,
In the lovely ugly paradox.
This is about the problem with the Jihadis.

GuessWho Aug 2016
Time once called from behind
Alas, You forgot your mind
Now you're finally my prey
Today you'll finally pay
Today you've no weapon
Today's a day for a lesson
Dear enemy friend of mine
Since when have you become divine ?
Since when are you so wise ?
Do you even think you can read eyes ?
Can't you see you're living in lies ?
Open your eyes get back your mind
Spread love and be kind
Open your arms to those in need
You're not a tree, you're merely a seed
Open your mind, exceed your vision
Take your time, it's your decision
You were always a slave of mine
No human has ever come close to my shrine
Yes you might be special
But you will never be crucial
I live a life no one has ever tried
I am humbly human's only guide
You might be one big mystery
But you're not worth a story
You're not worth being written through history
You're not even a person to talk about
You'd better get a new start
First tip... Clean your heart
You live hatred but not love
You're not the moon soaring high above
You're a human being like all other
I am time unique and special forever
Never ever try to stand on my side
You might be in front of me now
But I'm the fastest god has ever created
Never ever underestimate haze
I am not real, I am just a meaning
I don't live but i rule all being
Poor GuessWho lost in time
I warned you not to risk the crime
Live alone now writing your ridiculous rhyme

By: GuessWho......
Tell me, brother of mine,
How many rules has
This world broken
How many secrets does it keep
Some so heavy they sink
To the bottom of the ocean
Like a million stones

Why are those stones left unturned
Washed away by the current
And in their place
Smaller secrets rise,
Lighter than feathers,
To the surface
Where unfair judgment
Awaits their return

Your faded costume
Is wearing thin
Were you not comfortable,
In your own skin?
You were so much better
Inside your ugly living lies
Tell yourself that,
Next time you cry.
Emily Termotto Jul 2016
In your sudden, redundant
paroxysm of rashy dreams
and itchy memories
and long, extended wailing
you old infant-hearted
lovely little mess

I stand here, stationary

Watching you kiss conductors
and straddle rails
that aren't going
far enough to see yourself
as I've seen you.

From the way that your angled
Our judgements are tangled.

What a disgusting notion, love is
Who would want to get so close
Without knowing if the other feels similar
Rejection akin to getting hit by a car

Really no reason to chase one person
When they were never yours at all
People are people, nothing more
Trying to find the perfect one, what a chore

Yet here we are getting all wrapped up
In a world of hoping for love and trust
But crashing down into a pit of lies
Our body made of false hope, covered in flies

A person hoping, now cursing
A fate all knowing, now laughing
A bond of trusting, now reversing
A love waiting, now leaving

When I stand next to others I hesitate
Waiting for them to look and judge me
Eyes categorizing who I am
As if they can determine where I stand

So how could bring myself to love
People like that who can't see
Blind to everyone but themselves
Judging all the covers on the bookshelves

But I can't stop myself sometimes
When I see someone who is different
Shattering my pessimism and despair
Finally my pain isn't only mine to bear

A blind man crying, now seeing
A bystander waiting, now shoving
A man fallen, now believing
A lone soul, now loving
