when i looked into your eyes
they were pooled with tears
that led to streams
all caused by the storm
that you-
that i-
that we started
even in our darkest hour
i still got lost in your eyes
i would've drowned in the largest ocean
before i stopped loving you
except
i never stopped loving you
i never got to tell you that
and i wish i would have

when i told you to leave
all i really meant was stay

In a world of isolation where I have come to live a solitary life,
There is hardly any trial in the new contamination dictated strife.
The way of things and even loved ones we will yet come to bemoan,
To face an uncertain future where we face prospects to yet die alone.
Where is the wisdom and the knowledge our boasting said we had
Seemingly replaced by irrational hoarding and a toilet paper fad.
There is no surprise in the reaction or that people do what they do,
Believing that this is short lived and good times can be returned to.
Fewer friends and loved ones than on the days before,
In a used toilet paper world, on a selfish, remote and lonely shore.
Be well... be safe. Whoever, wherever... do it with humanity and care or it is really all for nothing. If things are going to change then please find better and not worse. Make it a better place when you get there.

I’m sitting here counting the hours,
This isolation, it’s ominous
You have started creeping into my thoughts
A drug that I have surmounted.

I still remember the days,
It hurts, to open the boxes,
That I had put away,
Deep inside the abyss of my mind.

And I go outside and run, they're playing our song,
I reach the hill where we last met,
I scream at the top of my lungs,
Can’t handle this regret.

I look in the mirror,
And see an old man,
In a young man’s body,
This social distancing, it’s menacing.

I should have never left you,
I was a young and foolish,
I thought I could have,
Carried on without you.

And I shut myself in, they're playing our song,
I get high, why did you take that jet,
I scream at the top of my lungs,
Can’t handle this regret.

It is a call for ‘social isolation’
to make ‘social distance’ far-reaching
Isolate the self and searching for self!

So, lock the gate from inside
And Lock the main door!
Confined myself at house!
Try to find myself in the space within!
Searching for the self!

Searching self in the gadgets of communication
Unable to find out the absolute self …
It is Relative!
Relative to space and time ….
At point becoming invisible!
Question arises
“Whether invisibility link to infinity?”

Now, it is started to rain,
Sound of raindrops on the rooftop
Remind me
‘you are not alone’!

In-between ponder on
  ‘Existence of infinity’
“An infinite temporal regress of events is an actual infinite”……
“An infinite temporal regress of events cannot exist”!

‘Infinite cannot exist’,
Self is not infinite
It is miniscule!

Then,
“What is about sense of singularity
Individuality, or self-sameness?”
Is it there!

It is
Confronted with question of identity
In the world where flexibility expected
As virtue and
Accelerating change transfuses in society!

It is the call for ‘social isolation’
To make ‘social distance’ far-reaching
Searching self and
Answering who am I?

Freedom to stop
Freedom to ponder
Freedom to slow
Not freedom to wander

Freedom to worship
on FaceBook or You Tube
Freedom to pray
along in my room

Freedom to chat
on What's App or phone
Freedom to write
letters back home

Freedom to read
that book that's been waiting
Freedom to finish
my puzzle or painting

Freedom to thank
my friends and my neighbours
Freedom to help
without fear, without favour

So enjoy all your freedoms
within the disruption
Savour your choices
Retreat's not an option.
Strange times we're living in.  But not all gloom.

I hear his footsteps on the floor

Waiting just outside the door

On carpet like they had before

We don't have it any more

I wonder who he's waiting for!
