Wanderer Apr 2019
a half step back and a quick turn
brings our lips within inches of one another
you lean into me
your soft lips resting against mine
as your hand brushes across my side
landing on the small of my back
and pulling me in
to you
to that moment
everything falls away
nothing else exists
just your body against mine
as our lips playfully dance together
A moment I could stay in forever

He tiptoes through the dark forest
in the smell of damp earth
combined with old fallen leaves
in this bitter summer eve.
Dull cloudless sky hovers over him
along with the bare limbs
of tall trees while he hears
cooing of birds returning to their nests.
He makes his way slowly,
but his heartbeat is on the run,
rises, falls as if imitating the sun.
A battle of words is taking place inside him,
but he does not dare to whisper.
Stars slip out of existence
and moon is about to set.
Comfort disappears, regrets pose a threat.
Last thread of light casts shadows
on the ground where he treads barefooted.
Waves of nervousness wash over him
whereas folks lumber in peace-
a complete detachment from the scene!
Reaching the far end, he bents
holding his knees, sweating all over
as if his one last hope ends.
to be free of all his burdens.
His eyes catch a glimpse of drowning dawn
making him wonder if the universe
abandoned it too between
transition of day and night
just as he is left out unseen
somewhere between dreams and memories.
He is left out unseen
somewhere between dreams and memories.

When you want to just end it all
all of it
at the same time

end time
end the world
end yourself

but all I can do
is slow everything down

slow my heart
slow my breathing
slow my thoughts
Inspiration was from a movie.

The figure
Tall
Wearing black and white
Walking to the side
With a limp
Is he hurt?
Do I know him?
Does he know me?
My inspiration was from a movie

Illness
   And tragedy
      Have no words, and
         In love
            A sufferer

                        s  dry.
                          Yet to others,
                   His pain,
          So crushing,
Is laughable.

I think I will try to drink my sorrows away
Not with cheap beer or expensive wine
Tonight I’m inebriated
off the hope that your fingers may touch mine again
I’m intoxicated
by broken promises that I foolishly believed
I’m laced
with the blue glow of a phone
awaiting a text that’s never going to come
Tipsy
Groggy
Wasted
I will soak it all up
I will lay drunk in the memory of you
I don’t think I will be sober for awhile
Breakups are rough.

If a proxy war could end this town,
I'd spend the day searching for those eyes,
your eyes,
I'd take up arms in a secret spot,
our spot,
I'd barricade myself within,
a steel fort,
And refuse to leave without a fight.
In order for a conflict to be considered a proxy war, there must be a direct, long-term relationship between external actors .
