Meanings of masculinity
Do you beat a woman until she’s raw?
Do you pound her brain until she bleeds?
Do you take her home and hold her when you’re through?

In your apology for disrupting my development
You told me I would never be enough
I traced the corners of the ceiling with my eyes
Five, or maybe six times that night

Meanings of masculinity
Do you search for open wounds?
Do you **** her poison sweetly?
Do you send her home and leave her when you’re through?

Memorizing triangles of sanity
Forgetting the man who bruised me
Knowing I would have to stand up again
A fallen angel who was once a saint

In question of

Meanings of masculinity
Do you feel the same way I do?
Do you drink the open air?
Do you go home feeling broken and tired when you’re through?

Stone cold soldier,
where have you been?
Who did you aim at,
man made of tin,

likely a brother
of different state,
of different skin,
of different age?

Sacred soldier,
did you believe
at night you'd slumber
peaceful and free?

Hag-ridden soldier,
couldn’t  you see?
Those men you fired at
are just like me.
"Wars will cease when men refuse to fight." - Fridtjof Nansen
Do not just look....
see , feel
Do not just hear.....
listen, feel
Feel the other person
With your soul
Feel the emotions behind the
face under the surface
Care
Feel the soul, the purpose,
the feelings of his being
You will discover
that you feel alike
Look him in the eye and...
see yourself,
It will make you cry.

We ar all alike no matter race, religion or whatever!!! Treat everyone as you yourself want to be treated!!
Words are a powerful thing they could help in so many ways,
But if used wrongly they could ruin someones day,

Our voices are a weapon if you choose to use it for good,
If you use it to bully others then karma will hit you in the face with mud,

We can all change the world if we work to without the fights,
Kindness doesn't cost a penny and it's never too late to make things right,

Pretending to be something your not will only make you more unhappy and sour,
Trust in the real you because being yourself is your super power,

No one person is better than the rest of us,
We are all equals and we are all definitely loved,

So shine brightly and believe in who you are,
As you are so beautiful like a shooting star.

I am you, you are me
There is no difference inside to see
The color of your skin, hair or eyes
Does not represent what’s inside.
Physical traits come from the family tree
They give roots, history and a sense of identity
But inside we have the same blood, the same heart
So when does prejudice begin to take part?
Babies are born without preconception
They feel love and comfort from their caregiver’s affection
Their new eyes are blind to ignorance
They see through a clear lense and don’t see difference
As they develop, society gives them glasses,
Their vision gets clouded by the opinions of the masses
The lenses get darker as they grow
They filter the world to see only colors they know
Differences become obstacles, not celebrated.
Leaders tell them who to respect and who should be hated.
These biased views could remain for a lifetime
And then they’re passed down to the next one in line.
Opinions are essential, shared thoughts educate.
But when they’re bigoted and hateful we cannot tolerate.
Take those blinders off, take a look around.
There’s so much joy in diversity to be found
Don’t let the blindfold give such a narrow view
Don’t be complacent and take what is given to you
Rip off the filter, open your eyes
Find connection, common experience, destroy the lies
Revel in these connections, learn from one another
We’re all trying to get through from one day to the other
See through the skin, the hair, the accent
To the core of the HUMAN BEING with love and respect.

My mind feels is swirling with embers
as I become witness to what happens in the world.
As a goddess I shouldn't fear the human race—
but because of the way society is now, I've never been:
Afraid.
This fire that feasts on my brain wants to explode.
How can people live with with negativity and hatred?
Just because I have the flower to identify myself as a woman,
men attack me, gawk at me as I am a mouse
and they are the hawk.
As I stand up for my rights, I know that they wish me dead
I hope my embers warm their cold souls
as I write this prose for them.
My hands only seek patience and understanding
to reach out to them to help them understand that:
human rights are meant for all, and if we don’t realize it soon it might be our:

Dedicated to the painting “Self-Portrait as Hothead” by Julie Heffernan
“It is easier to live through someone else than to complete yourself. The freedom to lead and plan your own life is frightening if you have never faced it before. It is frightening when a woman finally realizes that there is no answer to the question 'who am I' except the voice inside herself.”
A PLACE

We
lived
in a society where
false
is welcomed.
And
Where people
flee from
the
real.

A society
where truth
is enslaved
while deceit reign.
A world where
sages are referred
as mad.

And foolery
rule. An
environment
where love's
deprecated while
lust is summoned.

A place
where caring
is manipulated
as envy.

We lived in a
world where
peace is gradually becoming history,
making same
mistakes as ancestry.

But my dreams
is of a place where there'd be a
new world on planet earth, even
before the
very end of time.

A place as
peaceful as
Heavenly
where equality
lives among
mankind. When superiority or
inferiority is
mummified.

A world where
love will be only language we
all speak and comprehend.
