See I never understood
The kind of humor they posses,
They make jokes about hate crimes
And call a man gay for wearing a dress,
And I never would have thought
That these people could make such a mess
And then tell us
To clean it up
Like it wasn't them.

Always falling for the bad guy
Because he never got a chance,
And ignoring what's wrong with him
Until we’ve got blood on our hands,
And I never would have thought
That he could make such a mess
And then tell me
To clean it up
Like it wasn't him.

They always ask us to smile
But they never understood,
They tell us we belong in the kitchen
But if they were us they never could,
They say “go wash the dishes”
Just like a woman “should”.

See I just don't understand
The kind of humor they posses,
They make jokes about ****
And shame the sizes of our chests,
And yet we continue to praise the bad
Over and again,
These girls’ minds were stolen at the age of ten.

They’ve taught us to close our mouths
And they tell us to shut up,
We were raised by the same women
Who would never give up,
We painted signs,
We said our speeches,
But I guess it's just bad luck,
We can't change people who refuse
To grow up

And I never would have thought
That these people would make such a mess,
Just because she's drunk
It doesn't mean its a yes,
Why has it been so hard to get this through their heads,
“Your overreacting”
Let's all invalidate her feelings instead.

Is there a vaccine
that stops us being mean?
Ready for Homeless and Queen!
A vaccine that heals this routine
And keeps you away from the slot machine;
That makes economics less obscene;
That will wash every sin, dry clean;
And will keep you forever at nineteen?
A minus 70° vaccine to fight global warming and be green.

Maybe you don’t need a vaccine
If you travel in a limousine!

'Me do', I said
and I burned my fingers
I was a big girl, I wanted everything
my brother was allowed to do

If I feel like it, I'll drive to Paris
on my Norton, in my leather jacket
with imputed emblems
the insulting thoughts

of frightened people
who shun me
declare me unsuited
and skip my turn

'You should be ashamed', they say
but I burn with a desire
to be my own boss
and to do what I can

I'm not inferior to you
I can teach you a lot
I can beat you in everything
and that's only the beginning

We.seed our fields
With poppies of pleasure
The light of our poetic souls
Includes and transcends
All nature

The first ripe fruit
On the tree of godhead
The harvesters of passion
Rooted in imagination

Never will we cease to expand!

Earth is in orbit.

I can see it in the window.

From the window of this

Four souls

In gravitational symphony.

A crew of
Four colors

Unsegregated.

How did we forget to know
The souls of all but human beings?
When did we stop listening
To language different
To the one we speak with ease?

Those elders knew, they were involved
With nature, not apart
They worked together
Until the witch hunts,
And before capitalism ate art...

And medicine, and childbirth,
Marriage, communities;
Profit would too much be capped
If common people lived their lives
With love and empathy

Because some they feared the awe they felt; the danger sensed in crushing
Waters, crumbling rock, and the power
Of biting jaws and ripping claws
Over small **** energy imposing

So they taught us to ignore the souls
Of rocks and stones and moss and trees...
We're taught to value human life
Above all that nurtures us -
Even clearly animated beings

And still amongst these human lives
Are some more valuable than others,
Categorised by colour or class,
Gender, size, way of life,
Or simply their choice if lovers

They re-wrote the myths of first beginnings
To omit other beings, except where they placed
Them only as antagonists
To bring ruin and shame upon our bodies
And eternal servitude we've faced

Modern Christianity pervades here
And other poison ideologies -
Not Jesus' way but the opposite...
Organised religion serves only to prop
Up our capitalist economies

To the men,
You were taught men don't cry,
You were taught men are brave,
You were made fun of for being scared,
You were made fun of for wearing pink,
You were treated horribly by some women just for your gender,
Yet you move on,
Yet you keep the house moving,
You're the reason why everyone remains fed,
You're the reason why everyone remains warm,
You work from 9 to 5 every day,
You're exhausted when you get home,
Yet you sit down with your children and watch TV,
You sit down and help them with their homework,
You sit and have a cup of tea with your wife where she complains about her day,
You follow the same unhappy mundane routine,
Just so your wife and kids are happy,
Just so your kids have a better future than yours
Hey y'all. For those of you who don't know, today is international men's day. It's time we celebrate the men around us
