and watch
the sunset

watch the
waves kiss
the shore
blissfully

and listen
to the
crash.

Listen to the
seagulls talking to
one another as
they race on
by.

Enjoy this moment.
Enjoy this moment, right here,
right now.

If you can
write it
on a whim they said,
then
do it
we will constantly be
bombarded
by difference
so
what matter whether the words listed
speak
to the soul or not?
Shakespeare was a poet
and
he said
to be or not be

if the breadth of
life
circulates my being then
I will
be

I'm like a light beer
I'm virtually harmless in small doses
But when you have too much of me, you go out of control
I'm what they say on those commercials
Please enjoy me responsibly
I mean it relentlessly
Peace and dirt,
break that fight,
get together out in the wild.
.
Have a drink, get up and dance,
laugh together while you can.
.
Love with all your heart.
.
Watch your friends,
enjoy life.
.
Sing a song,
play guitar,
join in the game of Life.
.
Be aware of your smiles.
.
Take a chance.
.
Scream your lungs out.
.
Use the things around you,
take your time,
but make it last.
.
Keep these memories all your life.
.
Cook something,
eat it all,
enjoy the taste while you're still here.
.
Star a fire on the beach,
go camping out in the cold breeze,
enjoy the summer all your life.
.
Sing songs,
play games,
laugh with all your friends.
.
Take love,
but give love as well.
.
Enjoy it,
it is the moment,
the moment of your lives.

Stay up late with me
and we can watch infomercials
about vacuum cleaners and miracle cures
and holy water.
And maybe if we are lucky we can
catch reruns of I Love Lucy and Happy Days
because those seem like better times.
Or just talk to me.
even if it is just nonesense.
I want to hear you talk
until I fall asleep.
Tomorrow we can go to the park and sit on a bench
in front of the lake and feed the ducks with
stale bread.
I like the picturesque and the late day sun
and the small things
because they aren't so small after all.
Not when you are with me.
How about we take a ride my old rusty car and
tune into the AM channels about politics
and ancient jazz and opera.
Let's brush off the cobwebs
and find what we are looking for.
It's the small things that are the biggest things.
Those moments in time that seem
like nothing.
They mean everything.
We gotta make it last because
forever isn't a thing.

If you begin a game
Then you better make a plan
After which rules
it is that you play

Don't hope for the Prize
And don't expect to win
Just enjoy the game
And enjoy the company
This way you won't be hurt
When another player wins

So roll the dice
And let the game begin
Take a chance
And wait and see
What the result
Of this game will be...
The games we play in life...

the muffled sound of momentum on carpet,
a gentle breeze caresses the flowing curtains,
and there it is:
soft beams of moonlight,
scattering glimpses of light on the ground
making me
                                         dance,
                          twirl,
                                    sing,
                              live
                                                   *love

People used to tell life is amazing,
But they never told me how hard to have one.

People used to tell life is full of surprises,
But they never told me that some are not worth the price.

People used to tell life is a roller coaster,
But they never told me what to do when you reached the end.

People used to tell enjoy life to the fullest.
But I never did until I was running out too late.
Enjoy every moment you have.
Sweet songs from long ago
Carried gently through the wind
Translated threw the rustling leaves
To the mothers
   To the daughters
        To sisters
                Brothers
                         Friends
Heaven it must be
To be soothed and cooled
By the sweet winter breeze
Just chillin by my window

How do I tell you
...
I like you
And in a more than friends way
...
We are adults
So why do I feel like a scared little girl?
...
Oh the sleep I want to get
