Sun
Spring
Light breeze
blowing in my face.
The sun is the most beautiful orange
I have ever seen
It reaches my eyes
my soul.
Peace
The wind is caressing the leaves
And I hear nature obeying
to the wind's rhythm.
Peace
Just for a little while
Until my mind is flooded with
matters of this world.
I smell the air
I can't get enough of it
Only a breath
and then I dive back in
Sometimes I'm drowning
and then I have to find some oxygen
Before I sink back down
Maybe I'll get out.
Once and for all I'll reach the surface
Maybe not
But I can't stop dreaming

You told me you felt that our relationship was a pool.

That I have jumped into the deep end,
while you are still wading in the shallow end steps.
That you don't understand how I managed to get
myself into the deep end so quickly.

The thing about pools is this:

If you don't cannonball into the deep end,
you may never actually get in.
If you're standing at the shallow end,
the water could be too cold,
too hot,
too many leaves floating around,
too many bugs,
anything could convince you not to
fully submerge into the water.

If you cannonball in,
the hard part is over with.
You've dedicated all of yourself to the water;
mind, body, and soul.
There's no more second guessing.
There's no other excuse as to why you shouldn't swim.
There's no going back and that's ok,
because in all reality you wanted to swim.
You just needed to let go of the fear
that swimming will be too challenging.

Our relationship is like a pool.
I have dived in,
ready to fill this pool with love for you.
While you are still on the second step,
afraid of me.
Afraid that the love I give to you will be fleeting.
That I will leave you like everyone else has.
That my love for you is a joke,
that my love for you will never be enough.

I have a confession to make.
I have the same fears.
But I am still here,
in the deep end.
Waiting for you to look past your fears,
to accept them and dive head first anyway.
If you stand on the steps the whole time,
you will never swim.
You will never know the love I could give you.

Dive in baby.
I promise I'll catch you.
I am afraid that you'll never dive in  with me. That I will love you and you will never love me back.

Dive into me ...

come to me sweetheart ..
let me smell you ...
let my hands ..
runs over all you ...
to set a happiness ...
within your soul ...
and a peace ...
while you are ...
between my arms ...
to give your heart ...
the warm that you never get ...

come sweetheart ...
let me do now ...
let me taste you ...
as i'm ready ...
to make you ...
taste me ...
as i wrote you ...
always ...
into my heart's desires ...

sweet lady
come dive into my world  ...
be real as the true ...
be as the sun to my mornings ...
the moon to my all nights ...
and between mornings and nights ...
be always with me ...
come dive babe with me ...
as i'm diving all the time  ...
through and within you ...
love you ...

I am
a wild
river in
a bed
that appears
to glow
in layers
I ply
between flashes
of rain
this cross
of loraine
that swim
in a
librarian's vein
to hurry
rocks over-read

i stand

on top

of a cliff

mesmerised

by your beauty;

you are

the ocean.

my heart beats fast

as i

look down below.

the hue of blue

beckons me.

the sound

of the waves

crashing

whispers

a gentle “hello”

to me.

the wind’s

gentle embrace

gives me

unexplainable warmth.

i always wanted

to jump

into your beauty —

but for now,

i’ll enjoy where i am.
i feel bad for not posting my constant emotional outbursts since i’m out of town and enjoying the beuty of beaches so here’s something i wrote in relation to cliff diving yesterday.

it was so scary but i jumped regardless. and i actually did it three times. it was so exciting.

Never apologize for
being who you are.
Only you know the
depth of the ocean
you took a dive in.

The little space
within my heart
is as vast as the universe
there lies an ocean of cosmic water
and into its unfathomed depths
I free dive.

So tired I have grown, of building castles
only to have them overrun by cresting waves.
So tired I have grown, of tasting water on my tongue
but spitting, complaining of its salty burn.
So today I take a dive,
for I've grown sick of the shoreline and
smelling life's salty scent only upon the wind.

So today I took a dive,
head first into that salty steep
and was pulled here by current arms
and pushed deeper by ocean nymph charms.

My body flung about,
counter currents tossing me in circles,
eyes itching red with not a second to blink
and my nostrils jammed full
of the salt that hinted my senses before.

On the brink of drowning,
vision fading from blue to black,
I am pushed to a surface
far from the shoreline from before.
A gasp for air and the seagulls call
beams of sunlight carefully fall
onto the white crests of traveling waves,
and upon my blinking eyes.
Here, on the bobbing wakes of erasing waves,
I begin my ocean days.

I had become so tired of my earthly ways,
so tired of hating the cleansing dawns
hiding behind the ebbing tides.
So today I took a dive
and began my floating ocean days.

"And yet in our
most vulnerable moments
we take a dive
in the same ocean
that once drowned us."
