I know now how something
Unrelated to food
Can be sickening, after all.
M Grant Teague Dec 2019
I seem to grow in ever direction,
With new branches sprouting from every pore
They do not need the sun
To be true,
They grow faster in its absence.
My photosynthesis feeds so greedily,
It consumes light.
Yet the feast never stops, continues
With invisible source.
Light is the appetizer,
Smiles the side
With darkness bringing
Endless entrees.
Crunch!
Crack!
Snap!
Snacking smacks fill the empty air.
My skin crawls as my mold,
Spreads and consumes.
My own movement sickens me.
I am disease.

I'm truly not trying to boast
Of my enormous greed
I have all that a human being
Could ever possibly need
No cancer, no dooms day disease
I've a heart of gold
So why do I grieve?

Everywhere I look I see sad eyes
Cutting strait through to my core
So many never make it this far
Did you lose, were you torn?

Her sad eyes were in my care
And then she died...
Now everyone's sadness
Eat's me alive

People like you love to **** in the wind,
But get upset when your clothes get all wet.
Your mouth must be just another *******,
Because all I hear is **** coming out of it!

You are nothing but a disease!
A disease, a growth, a cancer!

You are what you make!
And you made yourself a victim!
There is no cure for this!
You are your own poison!

You love to feed.
You love to feed on others.
We mean nothing to you.
We're just something for you to sink your teeth into!

You bloodsucking, parasitic vampire!
You're a disease, a growth, a cancer!

You come and you feed and then you disappear!

Bleed a cold,
Starve a fever,
Pray the plague don't come
Looking for you, unbeliever.

Don't sneeze at disease,
Or stick yourself with an arrow,
Just stack your dead
In the wheelbarrow.

your love stung,
the last time
i tried to
hold it tight

perhaps it was
poisoned by past lovers
and they've forgotten
to hand you the antidote

or maybe,
you've wrapped it
with sharp thorns;
like a wild garden
unexplored and afraid
to be trampled on

whatever it is,
it's spreading to me;
but i could tell
it's from the time
you broke my heart
[so, this is heartache?]

Used to have crushes on people who were afraid of loving again, and afraid to love in case they experience hur.

if five minutes where dem
last five minutes of my life

if i died
in five minutes
i would

kiss my kid
hold on to my wife i'd
call my mom

forever
forever
forever

i wouldn't write a bit
i wouldn't eat a bit
i'd have lots of ***** though

i'd trip
i'd get scared

who would not?

a daughter
named seble
seven years old

being in a coma

she couldn't hear her
daddy's words

she couldn't see him
fog in front of her eyes
covering differences of
sleep and wakefulness

oneday seble's father
who was desparate
put headphones
on seble's ears

lyrics from two tall germans
they are called the
"wildecker herzbuben"

"herz" means heart and a
"bube" is a boy

seble
closed eyes
slowly breathing

seble's father is called
brhane
rapidly breathing

brhane was pressing play
and after seconds
among lurid lights

seble
harvest
moved her head
seble closed eyes smiled
as the wildecker herzbuben sang:

"Ein letztes Glas'l mit alten Freunden
die geh'n allein nach Haus.
In den Straßen
in den Gassen
geh'n langsam die Lichter aus."

a last drink with my buddies
who go home alone
in the streets
in the alleys
the lights are vanishing

seble moved her head
no windows but
her daddy was there

sebles mother is not alive
anymore
brhane prayed
holding his daughter's hand

seble opened one eye
looking at brhane

seble came back to reality when
brhan had finished his talk to
god

the end of seble's and brhane's
story is wordless
