Committing to change is the key,
Having a plan, a strategy.
Aims and goals that are within reach,
Not stopping 'til you achieve each.
Guarding against ambivalence,
Embracing the experience.

Inevitably he walked north
Whilst she matched south
Taking comfort in the fact that
the world is round
& all they needed to do was
keep walking, for the more

distance they set behind them
the less they left ahead
And more likely they were
*to be with each other again.

Never give up on your journey
Unless you truly know how far
You have come or how close you are
To where it is you want to be.
Why do you do what you do,
For many it is said for bounty adieu,
To live as long as they can reach,
Held in love that was not preached,

So,
Why do you do what you do,
Made in choice and decisions anew,
Lined with the convictions of the soul and hue,
Written in stone or chanced by clues,

So,
Why do you do what you do,
Searching for a golden cue,
Cure for the soldered shame,
Living towards a blackless blame,

So,
Why do you do what you do,
Is it for naught or is it for thought,
Is it for the righteousness in your mind that you sought?
Why do you remain watching by the side of the road, while they take the gold you have found by the cove, is it not right to not move in time, mimic of a sloth is that all right, then I ask you, why do you do what you do, let me guess for fame fortune and fortudious power asoon?

Can you remember a while ago,
when you were just a little child, boy or girl,
when the moon is the only place you wanted to be,
and your goals were the only thing you wanted to achieve.
Remember the little girl who said 'I want to be a doctor and save lives'
of all the children, adults, husbands and wives,
remember the little boy who only wanted to be an actor,
where his determination was his number one factor.
Remember how change used to excite you, and make you grow,
and you used to learn these things you loved to tell and show.
Remember now, when you weren't so small,
when obstacles hit, but they only wanted to make you tall,
and you thought your dreams were useless and you felt shame,
because you thought you weren't good enough.
Now remember how you overcame that, through good times and rough,
remember when you said 'my dreams weren't broken'
when your desire, was again awoken.
And you reached your goals, you did yourself proud,
you were flying through every cloud.
remember that joy you felt inside,
all the happiness and all the pride.
So always remember to look back on that,
because when you sat alone on that rug and mat,
you pushed through, and didn't give up like a brat.
Remember, for every great success, great pain comes before it,
yet you have to continue, and take all of the hits.
Remember, giving up is not you,
for all your dreams and goals, you must pursue!
just a little motivation. Cliche but don't give up :)

If I had given up along the way
No way would I be where I am today.
Though reaching our goals can at times be tough,
To get where we want...we must want it enough.

As I sat and pondered on how to write my next poem,
I witnessed an insect trying to fit into a space it was too big for.
I watched as the insect twisted and turned with determination to try and make the impossible possible, and it made me wonder:
How many opportunities have I missed because I mistook cannots for would nots?
I wallowed in the fear of what could happen, my pessimistic tendencies taking over,
(because I have loved and lost and I wish I had never loved at all)
so maybe the situation I am in is my fault.
Maybe it is genuinely not you, but it's me because you are the small space and unlike the insect I did not twist and turn
even though you are worth it.

I will auto correct myself, if you promise to do the same.
I don't want to miss an opportunity for greatness because we're both too scared.

You have been my longest
and sweetest of all dreams...
*what's sad is someday
I'll have to wake up.

A young girl falls and trips
Wounded but alive she continues
Couldn’t care less about life’s flips
Choosing a path, she follows
Animals hurrying to scatter
She says “Life does matter”

Up the mountain she goes
Strong and clear headed in every step
Smiling as the beauty around grows
She looks at the dew on the cob web
Everything connected, organized in manner
She says “Life does matter”

Close to the top she looks and sees
A world of beauty and hope untainted
Nature with its life and its trees
All together in one big portrait painted
The last couple steps like a ladder
She says “Life does matter”

Up above the clouds on high
Stands a girl victorious and complete
But already saying her goodbye
To the world up above the concrete
There was still more to do after
She says “Life does matter”

A Greed.

If being important was so important to them then how important could it be;

How do we quantify the importance of something or someone by the impotance it is to thee.

So now the important people say this and that is important and without it what a terrible world we would see;

If the importance of something or someone is so important then wouldn't that make life so easy.

Aren't the importances of living life for the whole world's importance more important but the whole world obviously isn't important enough from what I have seen;

I must be mistaken that the agenda of importance to the important must be something else don't you agree.

Then importance must mean that who ever is important enough then let them decide the most important of deeds;

I am confused about how this world can be less important than the importance of all the important people we give heed.

When importance of the world comes second to anything that is when we have to look at all the people who just live off greed.
