Foundation of existence
an exponential presence.
Gravity’s graceful hand
glues us together
like wet sand.
Presses us into spheres and
let’s us fall where we may.

Molded from mud and clay
Born of the Earth and falling
along the bend of space,
lulled by the face of the sun
and dizzy by the spin of the Earth,
we fall in love
along its starry string.

The foundation of existence.
we fall and then
fall again. Dropped along
gravity’s bending string
we fall and spin
Faster and faster
Desperately searching for meaning
until.
Some part of that string to holds onto
us and calls us their own.

We fall in love.
Tying ourselves to that fleeting string
so it may stay.
So it won’t fall away.
So caught up
We glue our muddied hands
to disappearing strands.

So caught up
we lose ourselves to gravity
and fall at the speed of life
so fast we forget to slow down
and look around.
So fast that we might miss it.

I swear I saw
Your face in the stars
Illuminating my world
In the darkness of the night,
A celestial presence upon me.
I thought maybe the heavens
Had taken you back
But as you pulled me closer to you
I was brought back to ground
On Earth,
In the presence of an Angel.

In backs of cars

Lips form stars

And then

Entire constellations.

You burn bright

Blinking satellite

And disrupt

My concentration.

Your hands cast light

Bleed through the night

And the sun himself

Envies you.

Galaxies swoon

And you're loved by the moon

But she doesn't want you as badly

As I do.

Under this black sky

My stars die

And my heart cries

Out for more.

You have me moon-struck

Guess that's my luck

Just like the planets' alignments

Swore.
Another writing exercise, this time in focused imagery.

A place unknown,
a stranger to no-one.
It's new to eyes,
but old in her mind.

In this place,
Sun is beaming,
through the dissolved clouds.
As the last light of day,
tints the sky and the ground.

That day,
like a celestial phenomenon,
moon rises in time of the sun sets.
And for a little while,
they became one.

The moon in half,
spark in her eyes.
Roses in her hands,
they bloomed so beautiful.

A place unknown,
an ethereal place.
Of which she steps on,
too many times.
In deep sleep,
under the starry night.
But for once ㅡ
on that day,
it's real.
For when we always have that one beautiful dream of a beautiful place which stays there for a long time or perhaps, eternity. At night, in my sleep, I always dream of the same place ever since I start dreaming up until now, the place remains the same. It's just amazing how our brain works.

Skolar shot three stars
into the celestial nothingness
in which he was harnessed.
Every night he charioted higher
hoping to touch the heavens.

Once reaching the maximum ascent
Skolar would whip and beat those
bright luminous wisps
pushing them a bit further.

Every night two stars would perish
and their remains would float
gently down forming the lands
and gardens of life.

One star would remain in the sky
sitting at its highest peaked achieved
in its skyward journey
every night a new star would shine.

One night one shined bright
beside me
we fell in love
and created an asterism.

We birthed more and more
little stars
a constellation telling our history
the people below
worshiped and gave us meaning.

Until I became volatile
spinning out of control
exploded leaving a black hole
taking that now old world
and you into the celestial abyss.

Skolar has moved on
creating new worlds
while history repeats
for infinity.
Trying to make my own creation myth.
"I Think I Love You"

So swiftly these words, these human words
(so dense in Nature),
Ensconced--in a language,
Made an escape,
through those scrumptious lips of yours.
Not realising,
that these beautiful-eloquent words,
You doled out so uninhibitedly(in a single breath),
Had rolled themselves up,
And breached,
My opaque atmosphere
in the form of a meteorite;
Colliding with this surface,
and Cratering
this isolated heart;
Which
shall be forever visible
within the Cosmos of my eyes,
Which shall hence be named after your vivacious soul,
Which shall indelibly be located within the latitudes and longitudes
of Earth's time;
And,
Always be scouted--
by telescopes of ephemeral Love.

We are our own system:

masses of stardust
which found each other
and called ourselves home
floating, amidst the unknown

  s l o w l y
but
s u r e l y

being pulled apart
by the same universe
that brought two planets
under the gravity of each other.
the moment something starts, one must already anticipate how it would end because nothing remains permanent.

the stars would always witness the things we do.

"have you been thinking of me? luna?"
                                                                                               "have you?"
"you never left my mind."
                                                                                               "i want to.
                                                                                                 see you."

                                                                                     "but you're halfway
                                                                                 across the universe,
                                                                                 yet my heart longs for
                                                                                   the light you bring."

"i want to.
hold you."

"if only.
if only space would let me
stay with you for a little
longer."

                                                                                "i wear your light. and
                                                                             that's the same as having
                                                                             you beside me."
