of a million strands of kite string - forming tornadoes through a heartbeat:

you release like a whisper - thin; but intentional.
you are a call to listen.
you are a prayer to red blood cells;
a promise of sounder sleep.
a comfortable thunder.

so send up your kites (no matter the weather).

erupt.

and rest among the whispers.
be deep.

Call from hell, call to heaven,
Call for warmth for tears,
There, the heaven, far away, a little,
Closer than thougths,
Warmth in heart
For a believer,
It can be hard to breath,
Without living,
Far from the heaven,
Breath-away to hell,
Call for warmth, call to home,
Driving through flames,
Call it home

Possibly
Only one

I know
How to act
Dead
While breathing

Just reply

If I am made up of air and ancestors, their bones
and cells and lives
their pain, their goodness
their disregard—
whisked together in the womb, and fashioned
each day and moment a reshaping—seeking, failing
falling, concealing cracks
thick with palette knife
or finest brush

Then I am the broken sum of broken parts
chipped rim touched by tongue
leaches lead—
best to throw it out,
or get the glue

If I am made up of air and ancestors, their bones
and cells and lives
their pain, their goodness
their disregard—
whisked together in the womb, and fashioned
each day and moment a reshaping—seeking, failing
falling, concealing cracks
thick with palette knife
or finest brush

Then I am both One, and only, cherished
child of the stars, and held
even as my mothers’ arms cannot
holy, not in Salvation
but in essence,
like breath
whole and in pieces—
there’s nothing to fix

In the summer,
we run around the house
open all the windows
have the wind sing through our rooms—
that you are a wind chime—
and —
when I pass through you
it is my favorite song

a lifeless body among a million blades of grass

feeling, yet not knowing,

that ants crawl across

the skin that once belonged to me

and as the wind carries on my last breath,

the rain washes away my last smile,

the insects nibble away my final thoughts,

I, my only remaining form a soul,

settle deep into the earth of mother nature.

I watch my breath closely, as it clouds before me
as if it is a film
My skin, it screams, i want to soothe it
I want to peel the layers away until I am warmed
Hug me, I am cold
