Today I learned
The sky isn't blue
It's red, yellow, orange
Green and purple too
It's just that we are
Too blind to recognize
The kaleidoscope of colors
Right before our eyes

today i drove to work
with the seat warmer on
the windows down
and the top open

i let the air
consume me
and let it fill my lungs and soul

it’s weather like this that makes me
feel like it might be ok
to stay on this earth
and keep on living

cold skin,
blue fingertips,
chapped lips
the red nosetip
the fall is the only season
that gives me life

i want to travel the world one color at a time

...see the color of the first sunrise
...sip black tea on London rain
...linger at the heart of the Big Apple
...gaze at the pink skies of California
...cliff dive into the Aegean blue sea
...marvel at the green grass of the African safari
...get lost in the land with the whitest snow
...witness the sunset in Rio
...travel in space and walk the gray surface of the moon

but i’d rather pull all the shades and wander the great indoors
where the color of comfort is...

my unmade bed
i'll travel the world with words instead

Re: Stacks playing  in my right ear
I can hear the rain in the left one
My hometown's soil is waiting for me
With the arms wide open

I can hear it, speaking
Saying "Come, come, whoever you are."
Pearls of the wisdom of my culture
I finally found my warm, familiar shelter.
"Come, come, whoever you are.' is a quote that belongs to the famous poet Rumi.
Tall, red like roses, hair short like the waves is my pretty boy
His smile brighten my days
That I like him already

Blue is our sky
It would be like in heaven
If I come by him and make him flip
I realized he has no ring
But he all in his feelings
And I got feelings for him
I wish I could marry him all like now
Cause with him I am everything

"I love you" doesn't happen to me
does it feel real when it happens to you?
Is it honest, without any trade?
You should doubt it, expect it to fade.

How did I get here, is that what you're thinking?
It took some time, much turmoil, sinking,
I tried to cling on, I hoped, I tried,
I cried and I cried and I cried and I cried.

Now sunk.
I look.
Out there I wonder,  I think "are there others?"
Flawed and lost with strangers for brothers,
not convinced not believing
that they, the true them, are worth receiving
truthful love, a bond, safe space,
we are filled with doubt, no more brave face.

I see you in every color, in each color, I find you.

Red? What a dainty strawberry, a beautiful cherry, the blush on my cheeks when I see you.
Orange? You're a sunset, a sunrise, a lovely fall leaf, I burn for you.
Yellow? The sun itself, the stars, the bright spot in an otherwise dark day.
Green? The forest, the woods, you grow with my love for you.
Blue? You are the sea, the sky, the water I need to survive.
Purple? A ripe plum, the lilac and the lavender, what I see when our lips meet.
White? The clouds, lightning, the paper on which I write my poem.
Black? Daring and elegant, the darkness holds me when you cannot.
Gray? The sleek metal, the packaging, what keeps my thoughts together.
Brown? The trees, the dirt, the background, that which is always there.

The shades and tints of life weave millions of you around me.

Sky
Trees swaying side to side,
Blue's all I see.
If only it could stay,
Blue for eternity.
!We should stop polluting!
Anyway, I love looking at the sky and just laying down looking up. Stargazing is nice too :)

Soft-spoken with the loudest presence in the room
A March wind that caresses through
Petals of daffodils in bloom
A salted sea
Stinging fresh faces under the moon

Eyes blue like the world under cloud-covered dusk
Eyes like the clouds and everything beneath them, his dusk
He returns to his place by the sea
The new moon brings new clarity
