You stare blankly at the ceiling
Unwilling to rise
Everyone has abandoned you
No respite from the silence
Your heart in shards
Like the vase you dropped
Last autumn
—some things shatter—

A buzz emits from beside you
Messages of a different variety
You have been abandoned by all, but one
Hello, you have not forsaken me
The shards of heart, mend
Form a kintsugi heart
Love flowers in the cracks
—some things bloom—

today, you may be a closed tulip. but as the minutes roll by, you will slowly blossom. the wind will kiss your petals, and the rain will startle you. the sun will warm you up, and the bees will seek you as a resting place. through it all, you will stretch your leaves toward the sky, and your seeds will sprout. you will brighten days, and you will continue the circle of life.
Happy 2022! This is a reminder for all of us going into the new year. We can survive and thrive :)

Permafrost can go
As deep as
2 miles into
The earth
Way down there
Are these plants
Still alive and
Waiting to be
Discovered or
Thawed out

There's all this
Living stuff
Underneath us
Just waiting to bloom

Upon the third resurrection the lower of three buds bloomed,
I say three buds, but there was also an attempt at a fourth,
but nothing that could be called an actual bud – more of a high blemish.

Upon the third resurrection, the bloom had kept its family colour,
a repeat of a pink shade of purple with a white heart, flaring wide
toward the light, shouting the promise
of further offspring -

the future promise of beauty visited to the third
and perhaps to the fourth generation.
I have an orchid - a gift from a friend.  It was reduced to a series of twigs, but finds a way to bloom again.
i rise with the sun
green plants around, clear skies above
a plan to bloom today, but then a fog surrounds
different hues blooming around, i feel dull
why is there a dark cloud above?

flowers standing tall around, im drowning in a muddy puddle beneath
the sky poured it's tears on me, it weighed me down
it made me dry, i cant feel the ground
why am i left behind?

as if it's the end of the world
the sun begins to set, it's leaving me in the dark
a plan to bloom today, swallowed by the night
i am scared, i cant see the path ahead
why am i still here?

the stars gently smiled
as the moon softly replied,
"some flowers only bloom at night"

bloom — where you are planted
and from this your growth is reminded
you may think that your flower will wither
but i'd always be here to sprinkle you with water

bloom — wherever you may be
like a sweet nectar that entices the bee
preparing for the awakening of spring
filled with endless capabilities you bring

bloom — for everyone to see
but also for you and me
together we soar and nobody else can destroy
flourishing with you, my f l o w e r b o y .

Five seconds of illumination
Is all the time I need
To pace the halls inside new walls.
I’ve found my place indeed.
You spring to life in dreams.

Four months of new sensations,
Planting pretty seeds.
Like a basket in the bulrush,
You nest in my mind’s reeds.

Three minutes of tantalisation
Danced a year in my eyes to the nth degree.
And now somehow you’ve found a home in me.

Two weeks with a shared sixth sense,
As patience made way for our wishful wings.

One life to live & learn. I love the way she sings.
Halfway to Halifax,
Over hills of gloom.
Pools under cataracts,
Encasing two in bloom.

Spirit soaring
high
not just flying by
my own sky
bit shy yet bloom fully
with pride in petals few
freedom beauty
before the fall
Enter mine eye
apeacing, kind
bubbly as champagne
willow it's all right
on this mirror wall
a note by and by
yours or only mine.
La rose magnifique.
trust exults
understanding
of love's rose in bloom

"Youre forgetting."
My mind tells my heart,
when the petals wont stop falling.
"It takes time for the season to come,
And the flower to bloom."

He is everything
I'll never be;
enough and appealing.

I'm everything that
he isn't; broken and
entombed. Put away.

But becoming - blooming.
