I am transient
I am ephemeral
I am but a blink
I am but a speck

Born Today
I will Die Tomorrow
Warm one moment
Cold the other

Celebrated my omens
Now I am forgotten
Once risen to fame
Now nobody knows my name...

I am Ephemeral
In the eyes of the celestial
As we all are
You are also Ephemeral
Life is short. Cherish it and make everyday matter. Live for today and hope for the best that tomorrow will come.
You stare
Willing it not to move
You stand there
Unblinking
Unflinching
But not unchanging
Eventually you’ll have to blink
And nothing will be the same
As it was before

Now the past is no more
The present won’t last for long
And the future is just as out of reach
As perhaps the moon

One moment, a chance,

Don't blink,

Romance
AM Mar 2016
he blinked, he smiled, he looked like the sky
so blue, yet new, the highest intensity of hue
I lived inside the blackest silence for so long
now everything lights up like a love song

We love that someone to a point where we are afraid to blink ,  just  in case the happiness of our life disappears in a blink .

- Something a lover would say [1]

The heart pumps
beats, fast and slow
opens, to the wrong people
closes, to the people who open their hearts to you
The heart is flexible,
bends
shrinks
hardens
softens
however, breaks the easiest
it is fragile, flammable, soluble, and ferocious
a heart is loud
blinding, deafening, screeching noise
it reverberates to support
however falls with just one fallowed swoop
one sentence
one blink
one touch
a heartbeat is an echo
a prayer
a mother’s wish
a signal to every corner of your veins
a heart travels to all, but only reaches to a few
it engages with no remorse
no regret
if only we could stop listening to it
life would be easier to live
but to live without a heart, is to die with a heavy soul

your heart is a lighthouse
a pulsating light
flickering off in the distance
thrown against the fog
billowing in the unknown
its visible
seen
even when you think otherwise
it’s within grasp for anyone who wants it
it matters
it’s yours
This poem was for my Poetry class. It was described as a Definition Poem, and the guidelines that posted was as following:

Choose an ordinary object, such as a door, then make up a list of functions for that object. Try to select functions that lend a symbolic meaning or quality to the object. For example, a door opens, closes, locks, blocks the view, separates inside from outside, etc. When you have created the list, begin the poem with the object and the follow that with a series of functions selected from your original list. Select functions with an eye toward some larger insight or them

Most of this poem comes from another short essay that I was working on entitled Lighthouse Heart that I have scrapped :/
This describes how the heart is many things. It can be looked at as many ways to many people, but in the end the most important thing is that it is yours. You should take care of it, but at the same time you have to put it into peril in order to live entirely.

I was fearful of death claiming my breath

As my every motive was opened in thought,

Light faded and all was gestured to nothingness

I was evanescent that flicker of singularity

But in that blink I was reborn in purest form

All was not forgotten just forged anew.

Reincarnated in a celestial aura cleansed or mortal thoughts.
This is a follow up on this poem below  using the  6words and the title incorporating all into a newer piece.

How beautiful it is
to live in a world
where nothing lasts forever

We must learn to fall in love
with the inside us

Only there,
Every moment living,
will be..
Every moment..
worth dying for.

I might miss you—
Every hole in your jeans
And flyaway hair;
I might have saved that crooked smile,
Kept it close,
Carried it with me to the bus stop
And the bakery that makes my favorite egg sandwiches.
Maybe I counted every stutter, every heavy blink of your eyes as you fell asleep.

I might have stared your demons in the eye,
Kept them away during the night
(I've never been scared of the dark).
I could have kissed the scars on your hands,
The bruises on your knees.
It's possible you meant more to me
Than the autumn leaves
And the stars that stay frozen in place outside my window.

Maybe you knew me,
My bright lipstick and lack of self control,
The pale birthmark on my neck;
You might have memorized every curve of my lips,
Pensive sighs,
As I let you see the fear behind my wide blue eyes.

Maybe you filled the cracks I'd never admit I had
(It hurts just to say it now),
Found the fragile pieces and wove them into a blanket to keep me warm.
It's possible you saw the lies I carry,
The spiders with their gnashing teeth and blood-red eyes,
And stood by me all the same.
Maybe you called me, suddenly, on your way to work,
Surprised to find yourself wanting me, though we'd just left each other.

We might have been in love,
But those three words burned in our throats,
We could only choke out ashes, not even a spark.
Now every trace of fingertips across our hearts only brings up dust,
Settled deep in chambers and arteries for heaven knows how long,
Made from the memory of my lipstick, the holes in your jeans,
And everything we might have had,
If only we'd allowed ourselves to recognize it.
