When I Traversed The Spirit World I Attempted To Wake The Dead.
The Dead Only Slept So On I Did Move, Moving Through The Spirit World.

When I Traversed The Spirit World I Tried To Play With The Fae.
But The Fae Only Dine On Fruit & Red Wine, They Tried To Circle Me To Dance For All Time, But The Dead All Stayed Dead So On I Did Move, Moving Through The Spirit World.

When I Traversed The Spirit World I Was Spotted By It's Demons.
They Hung In Packs, Slobbering For Snacks, Rearing Up To Attack,
But The Fae Fought Them Back, Im Not Their Kin But They Don't Relax.
On I Can Move With The Fae On My Tracks.

When I Traversed The Spirit World I Saw A Sight, A Giant Tall, Sat On Mountains Watching All. I Ask The Giant Where I Am, Death He Said Its Where I Began, To Wake The Dead & Free Those Scammed,
Like Myself Be Released From The ******.

Hey, I remember--
stories of you and I when--
you were still alive.
These memories will--
continue alongside me--
'til the day I die.

a dove in mid flight
    good ideas come to light
as my head rests on the pillow
in the depths of a dream

a clear eyed mind
a window to look within
newly grown wings
and so better
a view from above
better to be aware of the world around you. Rather than lost in thought

If I die tomorrow,
would I simply disappear?
Living flesh and memories,
that both grew for years.

Do I have a choice,
about what happens next?
Or are we simply ****** into a game,
with no written rules or text.

Can I choose to stay and watch them grieve,
can I still touch their face?
Even if they can’t see me,
they might feel warmth from my embrace.

Will I be sentenced to torture,
for breaking the rules?
Or perhaps my memories will fade,
unraveling like a spool.

I’ve tried to love all people,
and listen to my heart.
So please let me stay awhile,
because it’s tearing them apart.

The mystery of “after”,
is the cruelest thing to do.
Please let me do something,
one whispered “I love you “.

Heaven may be paradise,
but you pay for luxury,
and leaving behind my loved ones,
is too steep a price for me.

So if it’s all the same to you,
I’ll stay behind with them,
because they need me more than you do,
and to leave them would be a sin.
Another old poem I found
Kelly Reagan Nov 2018
The life I knew, I do not know anymore.
The life I lived, is not like before.
Before you left, things made sense
Now your gone, the world is intense
Intense in the way that it feels like fear.
I want to feel sad, but the shock is severe.

It does bring comfort to know you are ok.
Though you’re gone, you’re not far away.
I can feel you the most when I am alone.
I can’t see your farce, or call on the phone.
I wish it me, instead of being you.
You would have known what to do.

Here on this earth, I am truly alone.
I don’t belong here, this isn’t my home.
For now I know I must figure this out.
With uncertainty, insecurity and doubt.

One thing that is certain,
One thing that is sure.
This is just a short stop,
It is only a minor detour
For something much bigger, grander and fine.
Some call it heaven,  the above, the divine.

I know you are there, and it’s a much better place.
You did your best on the earth, you ran the rat race.
Earth is not meant for a kind soul.
That’s why you left early, I am not whole.
When I look at the cosmos on the darkest of night.
I can see your light, shining so bright

I'm not afraid of death
For death is just another journey
But before I die
I want to live
I want to run toward the horizon
And feel the sunrays  kissing my skin
I want to sail across the oceans
Visit places where no one has been
I want a life full of memories
Magical moments and tiny joys
challanges to overcome
And loved ones to hold close
I want many years to spend
Giving help to those in need
Seeking purpose for my existence
Before my feeble body is deceased
To admire God's creation
Before I have to say goodbye
And wear my big white wings
Soaring up toward the sky
Where God would be waiting
And the angels too
For death isnt the ending
But starting anew
Death from a different prespective

Death like all things
Are a simple state
Permanent in most
But subtle in others

Eternal peace must be achieved
Before death can be final
A life of wealth and luxury
Can never find peace of mind

Nor can a life of sorrow and misery
Find balance in all things
Life is a path in which to follow
We must choose the right path

Or we suffer eternal damnation
Fighting amongst our brothers
Spouting words of hate
Will never bring one salvation

Words of truth and love
Hope with all things
We attain everlasting peace
For there has to be a balance

Life must come with sorrow
As it also comes with bliss
Abandon all you don’t need
And share upon those who don’t have

Leave not in a state of anguish
But in a state of calmness
Shed the unnecessary
And bring only love

For when these things are at one
We find ultimate truth
Hidden in the mind
For us to truly see

No Tomorrow

We all begin with birth, then life,
Then death, then the afterlife,
Then reincarnation, a new life,
Then that life, then death, the afterlife
And another reincarnated life.

That begins with birth, then life, once more,
Then death, afterlife, resurrection, we are born;
To live life, suffer death, experience the afterlife.
Once more be reincarnated, once more being born,
Once more live a life;
Once more experience death and the afterlife,
One last time, be reincarnated…

Then we are born again to realise it was a lie.
Another life, another death, another afterlife;
Reincarnated again.

Born, lived, cried, died, afterlife,
Resurrection, born one more time,
Lived, lies, cried, died.

Afterlife, resurrection, born again;
Found religion, lived, died, afterlife.
Reincarnation, change the station,
Play me a new tune, not this ‘Here comes another Son’.
He lived, he loved, he couldn’t, but he sang,
A song of hope;
A song called No Tomorrow.

A figure walked into my room late one night. It was Death. Without any words, I knew it was my time. Tears rolled down my face, but I didn't make a sound. I didn't want the people outside to see what was about to happen. Death came to my bedside, laid down its scythe, and pulled down its hood. To my surprise, Death looked like an old friend and a smile spread across my face. We stayed there for a minute or two without words lingering in the air. I knew this time wasn't given to me to prepare or come to terms with what came next, but so I could enjoy my last moments and be at peace with myself. Death pulled up its hood, grabbed its scythe with one hand, and extended the other to me. In that moment, I grew scared of what would happen to the people I left behind, but one look at Death and I was calm once more. I looked around the room at the white walls and grabbed the hand of Death. As we left, I heard a voice I no longer recognize speaking words I no longer understood. What is a code blue?
Death isn't always scary.
