Your lips, against my cheek,
             whispering sweet nothings to me,
is all that I ever ask for,
                                                             in the upside down.

Life used to flow freely,
it used to be full to the brim.
It slept peacefully flowing through my veins.

But now it is awake,
and a fuming fire is born between us.
By the glance of an eye,
and the touch of lips.

A lizard's tail,
dew in the night.
Ambrosia from the gods.
A drop of a
mermaid's tear.

This is Floccus Magni.

Shadows of the dead,
harrows of the living.
Joys of the darkness,
terrors of the light.

Let's entangle ourselves in lace.
While you leave trails of swelling bliss.
When all seems lost, it can be found.
I'm crazy because of the dead silence.

There is a sight of spring in her eyes,
there is a sight of spring in her smile.

Hidden by the veil of nature,
is a touch of her sorrow.
Time is slumbering,
and the world has become mellow.

Sadly, she stands her distance from me,
unsure what love really is.
My heart chose her,
but she has not chosen me.

It is lost and forgotten,
the old memories that
fill my heart.

It is hard to describe the misery that one feels.
I often ask myself the same old question.

"How does one tell the other, they are not in love?"

It is like the two shores of the sea that never meet.
I cannot endure such great loneliness.

We are near, yet we are so far.
This love in separation is unacceptable to me.
It is like there is a wall of glass
that is keeping us apart.

If I am sad and forlorn.
truth behold, she is sad as well.

We meet, yet we do not meet.
The roses bloom but does not bloom.
Strange how love is there is autumn in my heart.
this comes from an old story I wrote of a Roman soldier falling for a Jewish girl, a forbidden love that blossomed into something new.

"But where will we go?" says Ophelia Rose.
"Who knows," he says. "But we will surely know,
                                                                                      when we go."

Without you, my nights are lonely
and tasteless.

Even wishing on the brightest star
my lonely nights aren't passing.

The world around me is fake,
even the sun and moon,
the sand in my eye.

With you in my life,
gold is copper,
and silver is aluminum.

Paper planes, falling
down,
down—
down.

Into the starlight,
that is upside down.

In my heart, it’s beating
one,
two—
three.

The street lights are blinking,
in the upside, down.
My world is red, it's shadows.
Raven black.
The treetops are swaying,
in the upside, down.

Black on red, it’s pattern
tartan plaid.
Who’ll be my lover?
In the upside, down.

As above, so below.
Touch me until my bones
grow cold.

I am a dream so, shut your eyes.
And hold me close—
in the upside, down.

Till the music stops playing,
and the sheet music
is scrolled across my lungs.

As though nothing could fail
in the upside, down.
