In my eleventh full moon of freedom,
her soft contours are memories;
scars speaking tales of collisions
like the pale dots sandflies left on our ankles.

a pearl gazing to a thousand faces
how can we breathe like we will remember
teach our feet to paint the paths from the mountains
into a story we won't forget?

On the news, they said she will be blue,
not in colour but occurrence
twice in the month of July.
A blue moon, once in our blue year.

So we stand beneath the open sky;
we watch her rise as the sun sets
and the belt of venus draws a soft lilac curtain
across an aching night - we wonder

will the moon feel the same
from our grey pavements when we walk home
in a yellow-tinged darkness
or is she waning into her final sky?
first poem in a while, any constructive criticism more than welcome :) t

Moon light quivers
‘pon sleepless waves
softly reflecting
passion’s embrace,
caressing the
enchanting shoreline
where we lie
beneath the stars
creating love’s poetry
in the sand…

Good night Beautiful

Right, left, back – what?
Flames flicker to the rhythm of
Your feet
And waver
At the ripple of my laughter.

Your palm pressed to mine:
Fire soldered to water.
I twirl and
Your eyes
Extinguish mine.

Each time I stare,
into your gorgeous eyes,
I see a long wonderful journey,
into our future together.

Each time I feel,
the warmth of your hold,
I drown in the serenity knowing,
the comfort that you give.

Each time you say,
how beautiful you find me,
my heart swells and smiles,
cherishing your love.

Each time we kiss,
forgetting to breathe,
I am carried away with passion,
and the need for your lips.

Each time I hold you,
I hope that you can feel,
the endless love in my heart,
which I hold just for you.

Each time I say,
you are the love of my life,
please know that I say this,
from the depths of my soul.

Each time we must,
part ways for a while,
my heart aches with pain,
needing you by my side.

Each time you stare,
into the window of my soul,
I open every door to you,
bearing true nakedness.

Each time you laugh,
I am taken to a place,
that fills me with pure bliss,
grateful for every moment.

Each time you wake,
next to me in the morning,
I know I am looking,
at the other half of me.

Each time you rest,
next to me at the end of day,
I thank my lucky stars,
for bringing you to me.

Each time I see,
your **** *** before me,
everything in this crazy world,
feels so amazingly right.

wrap your arms
around her waist
her face
soft in sleep
white sheets
around you both
- like something brief
might change

In your eyes
is the most destructive
kind of intensity
that ever
hit me

Should the earth die
a touch to make times stay,
a soft voice waiting, looking,
room for a kiss.

We stand at a great door
the moon's arms our friend,
our bed running beauty,
believing we're at sea.

O happy morning!
To help us understand,
this last night's song,
when men lay staring at stars.

This, a touch will do.

It's like love,
just to know that time
has taken you from my life,
my eyes,
my heart.

By day, the feeling is...away.

By night...the world makes
me say the words I think,
mind all the little things
I used to know.

I'm a man in the light,
a long look on my face,
left there to tell you,
"I need you."

Head up, smile in hand,
trying to make friends with the clock.

I stepped out into a hurricane,
let the wind and rain
touch me, push me,
lead me and whip me.

I try to wash away the pain.
As I sink my feet into the mud,
I look to the sky,
to the Father
and take comfort
in the fact that He breaks things too.

It was part of His plan,
I lie.
I had to destroy you,
gnash my teeth and rip apart your soul,
point my finger and smite your innocent heart.

I left you empty,
unable, with all the languages of love,
to express the hurt, betrayal and shame.
That thing beating in your chest,
it's beat a constant reminder of me.

They way I beat your virtue out,
beat my body against yours,
beat the drum of life.

But even the greatest heroes have regrets.
Even David committed his sins.
I destroyed you,
so you could be reborn.

I stepped outside in a hurricane,
and let the wind and rain
hurt me.
But nothing can amount
to what I put you through.

I wish you would say every thought in your head
While you blissfully stay 'sleep in our bed.
I would stay awake the whole night through
Just so I could hear every word from you.
But you've been asleep for quite a few hours
And I've been having a breakdown that comes in showers.
I've been staying silent so I don't wake you up
But all I want is to be held and rubbed.
I love you so much and the future scares me
I know the road we're on is pretty bumpy.
I feel like when we talk I'm the only one speaking
I know saying what's on your mind isn't very easy.
So I wish you would say every thought in your head
While you blissfully stay 'sleep in our bed.
Then I could stay awake the whole night through
Just so I could hear every word from you.
Mine, please don't steal it <3 Previously titled "Communicate". I felt Midnight Meltdowns 2.0 was a more fitting title.

She's looked, you speak, finally, yes;
Dancing the talk of a child...
Hearts strong shall fight soft,
Falling, young, set, and sorry...
Held, they gave peace.

Soft music and falling leaves.

She's spoke, you look, finally, yes;
Knowing she heard sad in a bright laugh...
No reason, her mouth at peace,
Her eyes bring dear hell;
Lost, there is no longer a longer.

Snow brings the cold.
