Pearls of Wisdom
Cascading Chaos Sep 2015
Pearls of wisdom
I wear on my wrist
as armor against the pain
of life and its refrain
again and again, we are broken
but hope still remains
for the embers will be soon be ashes
and the heat will disintegrate
exposing the nuances
each moment tends to relate
to the core of humanity
life,
most basic:
love in all its verses,
and sometimes insanity
rejection then growth
I will not lose hope

Naive
Like flowers in a hurricane
we let sparks fly with such
atomic energy
encompassing the existence
of a connection unexpected
relentless
but for certain realities...
This truth will be the dream
in our universe
paralleled.

I Have Multitudes
Cascading Chaos Sep 2015
Complications starkly
stand before the
rising tides of illusions.
Perfect sunsets slip beneath
the apex of
my dreams.
Darkened now, we grow restless.

Carry my weight in your
heart. The load is yours
to manage.
Quiet shadows lurking
remind us we know
no truth.
Hopeful gestures, yearning.

Let me go
pursue with grace
what little strand
of dignity
creating forward motion
I wait.
The next blow is sure to **** me.

Icy heat and
knotted organs
sloshing slowly towards
the fall.
Trains with human rhythm
beget nothing but
wounded wisdom.
Repeat.

Sister
Cascading Chaos Sep 2015
Your arrival came too
early for me to appreciate
the beautiful capacity
I realized it too late
I wish I could return
to the dawn of this bond
where you and I shared a family
we would harmonize in song
in stories and whispers
three knocks on the wall
I resented competing with you
once and for all
let me clear this stale air
and apologize for misgivings
we have mended our relationship
made up for the beginning
I love you no matter
whatever we go through
let me say while you’re here:
I’m so lucky to have you.

Summer's Past
Cascading Chaos Sep 2015
Sweeping symphonies of cicadas
escape her parted lips.
The rise and fall
whisper, then scream, of
summers passed.
Shadows falling horizontally –
Ants climbing ants climbing ants.
Parted pieces of soft flesh
dripping with lust.

They will dry up eventually.

This will end eventually.

Stampedes. Stampeding courageously.

Let Me Hold You
Cascading Chaos Sep 2015
Rosy cheeks betray intentions
knotted stenches lingering.
Partitions are parceling
past eyes crossed.
Rhythms betray spontaneity.
They are rehearsed rendezvouses.

Let me hold you

Let me hold you hold me
and escape the worst of it.
Just for a moment.

Rise and Fall
Cascading Chaos Sep 2015
The dirt beneath the edges
was scraped out and scattered.
Your roots were reaching through to the other side.

Growing longer with laughter
we bred trees of humanity
and plums of perfect stories
were whispered in the night.

You sang of loud cities.
Erosion. Circumstance.
I shook beneath the sheets
and you held me till morning.

Now we get hollow.
It’s autumn and I miss the sun.
This fruit has soured the air
but please don’t go yet, I still need you.

The wind is blowing through us.
Creaking. Snapping.
Cold shivers.
I think we’re both gone now.
I think I still miss you.

Time #1
Cascading Chaos Sep 2015
Flashes past of dreams remembered
I’ve met you before. I think.
We live and die each day and night
Out and in. In and out of existance.

Birds’ wings flutter in my heart in my mind
reminding me I’ve been here.
Tonight our infinities will brush past eachother.
Every minute is a lifetime, is an hour, is a year.

Too Tired
Cascading Chaos Sep 2015
The heat crowds me.
My exhaustion drowns me.
I want to breath underwater.

Let me just rest my eyes.
Uno. Dos. Tres. Bang! Bang!

Shotguns jolt me up as I scramble to puzzle
the pieces back together.

Water spills over itself and to the floor.

An empty room in silence.

Waiting.

Uno. Due. Tre.

You will forget this. I promise.

I adore you.

But I’m just too tired.

Let Us
Cascading Chaos Sep 2015
Let me me slip into your spaces.
Blankets layered, fingers yearning.
Your warm neck calls to my wet cheek.
Beating hearts in tandem, softly.

Let us sleep soundly as we rarely do,
with gentle rhythms of restful breaths.
Peaceful pleasures are abounding
in this eternal space.

Let us remember the day we met
two hundred years before
each of us knew anything;
there are infinite lifetimes still waiting.

Let us be shy and scared and sweet.
I know, my insides are shaking too.
Your smile delivers a secret message
while leaning kisses on foreheads too soon.

Let me feel your weight release
like letting go in an ice cold river.
Let’s run until we lose our breath.
Tired, delighted, unknowing, and so much bolder.

Let’s let each other have these moments;
a story we will keep to ourselves…
You and I will recall one another
with sweetness and well wishes forever.

Overgrowth
Cascading Chaos Sep 2015
The cherry trees blossomed as you beckoned to me.
I leaned in and listened to the sound of new beginnings.
Whispers of wishes grew ten stories high.
And the green ivy trembled
silently.
dancing. We slumbered.
It was then I heard the dissonance but we were too far along.
You gave me a blindfold and sent me back where I belong.
The safest way to conquer these crescent eclipses
Is to backtrack…

Let me forget you ever existed.
