Child are you grieving
To words she is leaving
And though she gave
To you, her own knave
You seem to not care
For what was once there

If they talk they talk after one
But all the nails in his socket were gone
And though our pastor could not outrun
The secret remains of Babylon

How do you love the empty air
For it seems as though it does not care
Or perhaps it does
Perhaps it loves free
But I wonder because
I hoped it loved me

Never was a man who knew of good
Revealing no mercy when I knew I could
Years of cost and lives I’ve sought
Praying for divinity when I know not
And to all the lives that I can never be
Sickness and health are gifts to the free

Evil expects that from others
Not to seek comfort from faith of his mothers
And when he seeks something true
He cannot find without ones virtue
What is a man without his mind
A shallow shell with dwindling  kind
Never to yearn or seek what is
To a man to not love what is meetly his

Righteous men cannot rest
Cannot laugh in light no more
Burdened by that shameful crest
Who yielded from the corps

The spy for two sides
With two separate cause
And even now he is uncertain
Who’s spy he really was

He wished they’d heed
To what he feared
But none so deaf
As men who won’t hear

Shut upon himself
Sowing not upon harm
Though for simple whiles
For lost kisses and smiles
He layed his weapon to arms

Though never to learn
Their power burned
Forgetting the peace he brung
Be thy sleep
Calm and deep
Such weight on a mind so young

Innocent hands
Spread like disease
Though the resting land
Was put at ease

Tragedy not heard
With each bellow and wail
Though through this sight
Peace did prevail

And with this night
His strife began
No longer a child
Though no longer a man

After school hours, sleepily
Looking down from the window sill
A deep rest in spring wind chill
If I close my eyes
To this brilliant world
Reflected scenery dances still
If I blow a low whistle
Towards the blue sky
Walking becomes a little more spry
Turning my music a little bit down
To listen to the lively corner of town
When I look up with slight rejoice
I hear a distant singing voice
Ah~ Ah~ Ah~
Today begins like any other day
Bathed in the sun slowly drifting away
The most pleasing place to reside
Is here right by your side
Dull clouds early afternoon
A sudden shower in the middle of June
Blue sky peeked out when I arose
Colors arc out accross concrete meadows
The bell chimes when I reach
Out through the window and to the beach
Warm breeze blows through the empty hall
When I looked up I heard you call
Ah~ Ah~ Ah~
Let’s rest into the sunshine
Taking breaths in a comfortable rhyme
We may not speak for very long
Though with just that I feel so strong
My quiet heart echoing true
When I’m here with you
