Shh, listen.
Did you hear it?

Its disturbing echo
inching down your spine.
Its chilling breath at the
nape of your neck.

Snaking through my mind,
creeping in like fog.
Seeping through the floor,
spilling secrets like blood.

Sounds of a clock
muffled by cotton.
Cloaked, it hammers
growing louder.

Can’t you hear it?
The thumping it emits.
Shuddering through my frame,
suffocation, blame!

It’s growing louder!
Uttering secrets only I know.
Acute are the senses
that hear its woe.

Pounding away all thoughts,
persistent, Its haunts.
Shattering midnight it stalks,
nightmarish pillow talk.

It grows, my skin pales.
louder and louder it wales!
A dead man’s heart yells,
telling its tale.

Say that I am mad, do you?
If only you knew,
I hear things in hell, it’s true.
Don’t you hear it too?

Your name drips
honey from my lips,
I'm addicted.

                                             Your touch, rushes
                                               through my veins
                                             I can barely stand.

You breathe into me
sustaining, the life
of an Angel lost.

                                       The tips of our fingers
                                         touch and I'm drunk,
                                        on the sensation your

essense brings.
Awakening my soul.

The abuse continues,
they **** her, taking too much.

The sheet music’s scattered,
all left untouched.

Neglecting to notice
in a selfish haste.

The stage lights remain *****,
the smile left her face.

Echo,
loud applause off every wall.

A painted on smile,
hides every flaw.

Shadows linger,
murmuring her name.

The pictures they've taken
aren't enough. Shame!

Observing,
through a bird's innocent eye.

Trapping her in,
glossy pages filled with lies.

She only dreams
it’s long over, and done.

Longing to breathe,
a flower, without sun.

Silently,
their footsteps fall.

Their Princess' name,
they call.

Mirror after mirror,
lines wall after wall.

Watching for her,
But seeing nothing; at all.
This is an adaptation of another of my poems. (Ms. Collins)

Too A.M.
Electric, as laughter statics to music
and stars battle, self-consciously
refusing to be outshined.
Glowing, fires
an Italian moon
of the countryside
whispers, for a moment.
and forever is now,
and the Moirai dance
and the moon, bewitched
and souls intertwined.

Your body is a story
waiting to be told.
Secrets unanswered,
treasuses unknown.

Your mind is a temple
treated with respect.
Undying intrest, unknown
effect.

Mystery and magic your
soul screams a release.
As mine is trapped in yours
echo, shattering my peace.

Endless screams of sorrow,
flow through you with fear.
Shattering waking moments,
swollowing back tears.

Dreaming dead, you never wake
And you can never see.
Trapped, darker parts
Forever in misery.

You dream in hope through
mystic fog, a cloud of life.
I die. Painfully. Forgotten
part of your never-ending strife.

Dreaming dead you'll always be,
and so forever shall I.
Waiting for the moment
My memories will die.

When the darkness came,
     They all forgot light -
     fear seems to suffocate
and what’s left is not right.
They held their fist
     back lashed in what
They know, set aside their freedom
and forgot that They could glow.

Silent
is the barred mind
of a Girl
of a Boy.

Colored prints
of my colored prints,
and America wasn’t great
to those whose hands build it.

And their anthem plays on,
disguising detestation as protection
resentful the Sun’s
never made love to their complexion.

Insomniac, unresting mind.
Lost in loops. No meaning, time.

Craving peace, but finding pain.
Nothing left lost, yet nothing to gain.

Under the magic of the midnight sky,
A child of the moon, under heaven's
watchful eye.

Listen closely and you can hear their dreams.
Prayers yet answerd, wishes yet seen.

For they shine like the dying star,
a million miles away.

Yet seen in moments,
reminder of day.

Close your eyes and wish.
but you shall never dream.

For thee insomniac suffers
through what can never be seen.

You are our new favorite swear word.
Noun: A tool.

They have stopped existing in shades of Lavender - hearts don’t get sent anymore.

And no one wants to read a love poem.

Or see a Colored Girl’s Rainbow bowed broken
beneath the weight of the egotistic.
The simplistic.

Residing in kingdoms of accusation
heartbreaks - a spectrum of Mauve. But they don't send hearts - anymore.

It's a hashtag - an anniversary. Let
them right it - your tombstone: Hear lies

a label maker - Heartless
promise breaker - Liar who lay in wait
bruise colored suicide, bombing hope - wrapped up in hate. Rumor has it, we don't send hearts anymore.

Or scream. Or speak. Blocked

your throat – and ceased to exist.

and no matter how much we beg, do not feed the lion.
You only accept amethyst stained hearts anyway.

Hang me.
By my tongue from
the Tree of Life.
                 Repeat to me
                  definitions of equality.
Let injustice drip
honey from my fingers
         to remind me of purity
         that comes.
                             Color,
let Eve curse
and Adam condemn
        no man of his.
                   Baptised in red of
                   the read,
         bathed in consciousness:
         what difference
                             looks
like.
                    Know companion.
       No compassion.
Syllables strangled
sensitivity,
                 the rawness of
                 Rope. Burn. Words
                            ask again
      what it looks like.

“There is chaos here,
In the minutes where night meets day.
Are you listening? It is near.

I find it acceptable to fear
the shadows that lurk in midnight.
There is chaos here.

When you’re alone it leers,
and your terror will leave you screaming.
Are you listening? It is near.

Darkness becomes you Dear,
Its seduction clouds your mind.
There is chaos here.

It’s pulling your soul near.
nothing is safe, there’s nowhere to hide
Are you listening? It is near.

And once it has you, let me be clear
you will be dragged, screaming. Madness!
There is chaos near.
Are you listening? It is here.”

And I fell
for all the things I imagined
She would be,

and that girl
wonders how to love the one
She became.

Air
still.
City ablaze with light,
and souls.
And an acoustic guitar
Echoing
molten words
an unfamiliar language of a
Melody’s essence awakening.
Inhale.

I think it's in his eyes. . .
The piercing deep pools of mystery
Some find insanity, I find tranquility.

Or maybe in his smile. . .
When the mystery eludes it's self
His walls come down and you see him clearly.

I've found it in his voice.
Sweet, deep and smooth.
Like the taste of prefectly aged wine.
It washes over you.

I see it in his thoughts. . .
For his mind is his greatest weapon.
Speaking words of wisdom that send me
reeling in his meanings.

Or maybe in his features. . .
The perfectly sculpted lines of his face
As if perfected by none other than the
Gods themselves.

Others have seen it in his walk.
Smooth like the feel of satin on your skin
And confident enough to leave you staring.

Speechless.

Regardless of the physicality
You see.
I find individuality
That shines through his creativity.

His presence washes over me
Like ocean waves massage
The sand on a warm summers day.
I bask in it drunkenly.

Finding peace in his mystery
and passion in his artistry.

See, where those find fear I see actuality
And I know all that he can be.
Mentally and physically.

I immerse myself in the hope he brings to me.
Dedicated to a good friend.

A positive soul brings positive times
radiating in your security,
and when under your gaze, my soul unwinds
breathing you in for an eternity.

I am tie-dyed in your purity.
I am baptized in your eccentric taste.
Your smile never ceases to amaze me,
nothing's cherished more than our fingers laced.

Incomparable are your loving eyes,
unspeakably you make time fall away.
As your voice consumes me, emotions rise,
and in your presence I will forever stay.

For rays of sunshine flow heavenly through,
you light up my soul with the things you do.
Dedicated to Mod Sun.

So much depended
upon

the hands that
counted breaths

the sixty constant
ticks

ears never seemed
to miss.

With outstretched eyes
and open hands
           we ceased to become,
I exhaled existence
and you, perpetrated fear
           hope could not sustain us.
Revolve around your galaxies
Supernovas, enemies
           and I'll continue
breathing on my own.

The seasons blended together still
as if i've fallen head first into a daydream.
But some nights,
i'd place our fate in the hands of a star,
and whisper words of forever.
Praying my answer was You.

There was enchantment in You.
Yet still,
I held little hope in our forever.
For what is wished for while dreaming,
is long lost amongst the stars
found only on the darkest of nights.

My uncertainties were hidden in the shadows of the night
and clouded every thought of You.
But there, locked between the breath of two stars,
silent and still,
I chased away my dreams.
Convinced that nothing could last forever.

I am Alice now, and my rabbit hole leads into forever.
As mysterious as the night
so I close my eyes and dream.
And I am suddenly re-immersed in You.
As the hands that chase the day stand still
I am misplaced again, amongst the wishes lost in stars.

I have traveled through time, chased unknown stars
and stared into the face of forever.
But as my mind's portraits flashed by me, my life stood still.
For everything was overcome by the night
and all I could see was You.
Mirroring back at me all my hopes and dreams.

At first, I'd thought I was dreaming,
(creativity tends to flourish within the stars.)
But I could see it in You,
The smallest glimpse of forever,
Gleaming in your eyes late that night,
And I knew my faith held tightly still.

I am still immersed in the wishes of my dreams,
where the symphonies of night hold stars
that shine into forever, and are reflected back in You.
