Erian Rose May 2021
The stars mended overhead
Igniting the night
Sounds of the bustling highways
Blocking out the fear of falling

I stared up at the skyscrapers
No one would notice if I fell
Life would keep going on
It always does

A cold breeze brushed through
Taking a step at a time
Up the skyscraper
Until I see the skyline

Lights exploded
In the whites of my eyes
A city engulfed in darkness
Standing still

It only took a second
For my feet to fly off the concrete
Plunging towards the ground
No one noticed I jumped.

The world keeps moving on.
Repost from a while ago that I accidently deleted

living between
the lens of a telescope,
endlessly staring up
at the planets and stars
skating among the ink

Nature followed her footprints,
Planting seeds in the sand
With every forward land,
Blooming trees to the moon.

Wind would whistle between
The curls of her bronzite hair,
Setting a crown of flowers upon her head,
Hues of violets and blues.

No matter how much strength
She placed in the land,
There was only so much she could do
To brace the incoming doom.

Her eyes as forests
Would get torn down one by one,
Leaving nothing but rabbit holes
In the tracks that were left.

Generations would soon come to see,
The everlasting beauty of her earth.
In what was worth protecting.
What was left for recovering
before her last breath.

Leave me
Late-night dreaming
On rose-painted canvases
And grayscale prints,
While the rain
Hums a tune of
Pitter-patter
Melodies.
I'm thinking of creating a non-profit literary journal to give y'all a platform to submit poems for publications.  Would you guys be down for that?
Erian Rose Dec 2020
as the planets inch closer,
stardust trembles.
lights of green hues
and vibrant blues
dance overhead.
I'll follow the north star
over mountainscapes,
oceans,
and everything in between
to be with you.
Erian Rose Nov 2020
We twirled in the clatter
letting the rain tattoo our skin
till dusk became day
and hands held clasped
in saltwater promises,
drowning in the shores
of your cosmos
Erian Rose Nov 2020
In a forest, tucked away
hidden between padded ferns
and angered flowers,
whose roots grew wider
then the seas,
was a heart crossed
of all the thorns
she didn't need.
