On her neck

Burnt like the Sun
And tasted like the ocean.

Swallow me whole,
and let me dissolve into your bloodstream.
Let me flow into your brain,
and the rest of your body.

Your pupils will dilate,
your pores will open
at the realization that I am inside of you,
and I am taking over.

Swallow me whole,
and I will show you that I am not a temporary fix.
Just swallow me whole,
and I will show you what real happiness is.

I don’t want to say you make me happy
because you do.
I don’t want to say you are the best part of me
because you are.
lets just say
for every touch
and every smile,
you have lit a flame in every fiber of my being.
whenever I am in your presence
the fire continues to grow and grow.
if you were to leave
I’d rather die from the burns
than put it out.

God didn't know what to do with the sun,
so he placed it millions of miles away from the earth.
and maybe that's why he took you away from me.
to show you (and me) that you didn't need anyone else to help you shine.

Kiss me until we form a universe in our mouths.

"Love is in the arms of the beholder."
So I built a home
Within the marrow of your bones
With your soul
As the fireplace.

it is raining outside,
and I am tired of pretending that I am happy while I stay inside watching the rain.
I am tired of waiting for the people around me to put on their rain coats and boots before going out.
I need someone who is not afraid to get wet.
I need someone who is not afraid to get messy.
So as long as this rain pours,
take my hand
and lets dance.

Is right when you are about to laugh.
That moment when your mouth stretches from ear to hear,
The bridge of your nose begins to wrinkle,
And your eyes shout life.

My words are not enough.
If I were to write the greatest poem about you,
It would not be satisfying.
I do not have it in me to carefully string together words
And metaphors to describe who you are and the amount of impact that you have on me.
It is not because you are not worthy,
But because I am incapable of completing such monumental task.

But please,
Tell me,
How can I make you feel the weight of my words
Without having to hide it
Between consonants and vowels.

They say too much of one thing
Is a bad thing,
But I can never get enough of you.

I'd like to have *** on the beach with the one I love with the stars above us and nothing but her body and the cold sand under us.

You'll leave.
Whether it be you take your last breath here on earth,
Or as I watch you fall in love with another.

Whatever it may be,
Just remember these moments,
These stories
We are creating.

Let it engrave itself into your heart
And let it flow through your veins.

And out from her mouth

That connected the heavens and earth,
The mountains and sky,
And space to eternity.

But it was perfect.
The kind of perfect that left you breathless
After a good hard ****.
The kind of perfect that left you gasping for air
After the world has tried to drown you
And all the stars were cheering you on.

You are the Summer
In December

I asked for the moon,
He gave me the sun.

I wanted a kiss,
and I tasted the galaxies in her lips.

I asked her for love,
and she gave me her heart.

The other day, I looked up the word passion in a thesaurus.
One of the synonyms of the word passion is fire.

I found it interesting how fire,
something that could keep you warm when the nights and mornings are cold,
Can also burn an entire forest to the ground.
The only difference is,
One is contained and the other isn't.

But then it makes sense, doesn't it?

Just like a fire,
Love can keep you warm and yet set you ablaze.

And that's how I feel about you.

Not all wounds,
Turn into scars.

This rain is for the Winter.

Tell her.
Tell her that the way her voice sounds makes your bones tremble.
And the way your name sounds when it rolls off of her tongue is indescribable.
Tell her that if she were to remove your brain from your head, all she'd find is her fingerprints.
Tell her that written along the walls of your heart is her name.
And that this secret that has been locked away in the marrow of your bones cannot be contained any longer.
So go.
Tell her.
Love is not a whisper.
It is not a thought that cowards in the back of your mind when she is near,
And comes back when she leaves.
Love is standing on the top of a building and screaming until your throat bleeds.
Love is igniting a fire that cannot be contained nor put out.
Go to her.
Tell her.

What words break you?
What words haunt you?
Let me speak over them—
Shout over them.

Show me where it hurts,
And I'll gently run my fingers across the bruises they left.  

Kiss me so deep until every name,
Every word,
And everything that was ever said to you will be
Uprooted from the very place it latched onto your soul.

Had I told the stars
What I felt for you,
They would fall
One by one
And follow me.

She speaks like the rain,
And walks like thunder.

In the end,
I am an admirer of good stories.
but you were not meant to be a story
to be looked back upon.
If truth be told,
I would like to look back in time with you
right by my side.

. . . That I want our story back.

Tell life that she can have her stars. . .
She can have the moon, the sun, and the ocean. . .
She can have all of it back.
I just want you.

I wish I could say that the sun stopped rising.
I wish I could say that the moon stopped shining,
And the stars collapsed one by one.

I wish I could say the ocean and the rivers ran dry,
And the mountains fell to the ground.
I wish I could say the sky lost it's blue and turned into blood red,
And all of humanity fell to it's knees.

I wish I could simply say: "The world ended,"
But it didn't.

The day you left,
Everyone was still alive,
And went about their daily lives.  
The sky was still the same baby blue color in the morning,
And the mountains still stood strong.

The oceans and the rivers still flowed with water,
And the stars painted the night sky.
The moon still shined with pride,
And the sun rose again.

The sun rose again,
And so will I.

The ghosts whisper.

Whisper
Whisper
Whisper.

Haunted by a demon that no longer lives
Within me.
The Devil doesn't need to do anything,
When it's me who's holding the blade to my throat.

Screaming as the chatter screams louder
Louder
Louder.

But there's nothing.
No one.

I cry and scream
And cut open my throat
And let the blood fill my lungs
Blaming everyone and everything,
Blaming demons and ghosts,

When it was me holding the blade.

out of nowhere,
came down from his throne in heaven,
and found me in the upper room.
in the midst of the storm,
in the midst of the chaos
he slipped through the walls surrounding my heart,
and whispered,
"I love you so much.
I love you so much.
I love you so much."

The thing about a mind that wanders
Is that sometimes it'll wander to the graveyards
Buried in the back of your soul.
Or an abyss that contains nothing but the past.

Sometimes when I'm not careful
I lose my footing
And fall into that abyss,
But instead of hitting the bottom,
I fall deeper and deeper.

In a matter of seconds I am falling down an archive of my thoughts,
And in a matter of seconds,
I am reliving the moments I carried  with me all these years.

I open up the files,
And just like that,
I am there when she calls me "girly" and wants a "man" instead of me.
I am there when she tells me that she doesn't see me in her future.
I am there when she
left me on the dance floor.
I am there when I found out he held her hand and kissed her.
And more. . .
And more.

I am there.
Sitting on a bus I am there.
Sitting in my car I am there.

This doesn't happen often,
But when it does,
The darkness demands my attention,
And I am there.

the ones who wrap themselves up in a blanket, drink hot cocoa and watch Netflix during a storm. And the ones who dance in the rain.

I want to be the one who starts a fire in the rain.

this moment only existed in novels.

the kind of novels that make people question if this kind of love exist.
many search their entire lives for this moment,
but here I am.
here you are.
here we are.
together.

We didn't come on this planet to learn perfect love.
We came from perfect love and we are going back to perfect love.
We forget that a relationship consists of two broken people who choose each other.
Like two wounded animals coming together and fighting to survive in a forest
That contains things ready to **** them.

Before we met we were two wounded animals.
We still are two wounded animals,
But as the days go by and the months go by,
We are learning to adapt in a world that is fighting to **** us off.
Struggling to stay afloat in an ocean that is ready to drown us.

But as long as I'm by your side
I will choose you
And fight for you
Until. . .

Until well. . .
You say so.

If her love is an ocean,
Then I am drowning.

I know how to swim,
But I don't mind inhaling her waters.

They can have the world.

We'll create our own.

she was the moon,
I was the ocean.

she pulled,
I pushed.

she stayed silent,
as I raged on.

I am more interested in your demons at 2am,
Than I am of the person you pretend to be at 2pm.

where are you. . .

They say that from the ages of 18 to 23 you meet a lot of temporary people.

To be completely honest,
I hope that I will not be just another chapter in your book,
And I hope that I will never be just another story in your amazing life.

I have met enough temporary people in my life,
And I don't want/need you to be another one.

I wrote my heart away with the blood
From the gashes you made in my soul.

I strung together words and orchestrated metaphors
To bring life into the pain you brought into my life.

I created you to be better
Than what you actually were.

I strained—
I pressed on to get where I am today.

How foolish of me to think the sun shined from your ***
When it was really hell gasping for air.

when I am with you,

the world doesn't exist.

There is something about your sweet,
gentle smile
that warms me up in a way
the sun can not.

when "I miss you"
isn't enough?

Everything and nothing in particular.

But you're there.

looked at you,
I didn't just look, to look.
I really looked at you.
before I even had the chance to soak you in,
my eyes were already engraving every detail of your face
into the back of my mind.
so now, when I close my eyes,

Love doesn't always arrive
In the form of a bestfriend.
Nor does it always have a fairy tale beginning.

Sometimes,
Love arrives in the messiest,
Dirtiest,
Muddiest times in our lives.

But how great is it
To be walking out of hell,
To be walking out of the mud,
With someone by your side.

I told myself years ago,
If to love meant to stay muddy and bruised then I will forget what it is like to ever be clean.

And alas, love has arrived
And love is here.

Making love to you was never about us lying naked in bed.
Making love to you was whenever our foreheads rested on each other
And our heads were gently tucked carefully on our necks.
