Hai Naman Unko
I brought her to the hospital And I know she is in pain She says she’ll die today But I know she’d sustain. As painful it may be As fearsome it may seem My legs are shaking deep inside I can hear her Scream. You’d say I can’t feel the pain She says its life threatening I believe she’ll do it well This moment of awakening. The Doctor consoles her gently The nurses prepare the room My heart beats fast, yet sinks a bit My baby is about to bloom. I watch the process in silence My heart is aching slow The Doctor asks her to push Our Child will make Her Glow. Its a Girl and She’s beautiful I heard the Doctor say Everyone knows I cried Saying Happy Mothers’ Day!! Prashant Shaurya ©

Childbirth!!
1. Initiation Mighty waves traverse across The realm of time and space They Leave behind some faint imprints While horizon slowly shrinks.    2. Observance The boatman gives a vicious call And the nets are put in place If tides take a winsome turn He would fill up his plates.     3. Discovery The sunset lass builds sand castles While sea breeze soothes her tender skin Enchanted by her gentle smile I write about my April muse. Prashant Shaurya ©

Seaside Musings-II
~~~~~~~~~~~~~1~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The valiant king rode across A perilous mountain pass, which Led to a mystic who could Dispel the chance of death at war. He roved along the rough terrain Through rows of shuddering pine His journey had no sojourn till He'd drink the elixir wine. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~2~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The sage lived in a far flung place Amidst mountains old as time In that ancient talismanic cave He reached his spiritual prime. No man had ever seen the sage Yet stories had been told, of those Who sipped that miracle wine And rose above their woes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~3~~~~~~~~~~~~ The king kneeled down before the sage To narrate his woes through prayer Then said, pour thy mercy, my Lord, For my nation's in despair. The gory war's killed umpteen men My army faces defeat Bless and save my people, O Lord! For the enemy won't retreat. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~4~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The sage looked at the distressed king Whose heartbeats had sunken low For only the saint's miracle Could help him fight the foe. The sage did cast a magic spell Pressed the ruler's armour of steel Then said go back and fight my king Triumph, and help your nation heal. Prashant Shaurya © All Rights Reserved 17-04-2019
The Mystic and the King
I saw her in my dream last night Silhouetted against the moonlit sky Dissolved in the aura of the moon She asked me if I wished to fly. Her magic warmed my rustic soul Deep musings came to life, encore She swayed her hands to heal my heart; Together we’d fly or fall apart. To all the great powers that be Grant me a pair of wings to see What lies above the bright blue sky I wish to fly, I wish to fly. Prashant Shaurya ©
Silhouette
The lovelorn waves sang sorrow's songs While sailors grieved 'bout homeland far For eyes couldn't see that distant place Where sun shines bright and night has stars. As drowning sun was bleeding red The lovelorn waves sang sorrow's songs 'Bout Mothers ailing far away And children weeping in dismay. The horizon at distance glowed While winds convulsed the sailors' hearts The lovelorn waves sang sorrow's songs When twilight welcomed the North Star. The bright full moon propelled the tides Which gave the ships new lease of life As sailors left the shores in haste The lovelorn waves sang sorrow's songs. Prashant Shaurya ©
Bereavement {Quatern}
The waves whispered into my ears
 Lyrical notes of songs unknown
 Which mingled with the whisky fumes
To feed my senses on those tunes.
 When the seaside lass held my gaze
 The waves whispered into my ears
'Bout how the breeze played with her hair And how the moon couldn't help but stare.
 While whisky saved its magic spell
 For stories, only time would tell
 The waves whispered into my ears
 To warn me that love could bring tears.
The playful breeze still brought her scent Albeit the sun shower made her dance Enchanted by my April muse
The waves whispered into my ears.
Waves and Whiskey Quatern
In a world which is Topsy-turvy round I'd see You with Feelings profound. On a day when all The world turns vile I'd seek solace in Your genial smile. In springtime when The flowers bloom I'd dance with you in A shimmering ballroom. Come ride with me On a merry-go-round And fetch our share Of joys abound. Prashant Shaurya © All Rights Reserved
Late Night Musings-II
She held a heap of firewood Atop her tender head Walking down the narrow road That led to her hamlet. That old banyan tree couldn't Allure her with its shade Nor the burning sideways Could force her pace to jade. No sign of sorrow, grief or pain As quiet as she could be Would death alter her calm Or would it set her free. Prashant Shaurya ©
The Underlying
When monsoon pearls roll down From Heavens to dry earth, They'd drench me to the core. When moonlight leads to You And you become the moon I'd need you evermore. When stars glitter for You Your smile widens so bright In bliss I'd pour my heart. In every breath I take Sweet scent is what I sense Your memories bring rain. Prashant Shaurya © All Rights Reserved
Monsoon Musings-II
She
whispers
rhapsodies
into my ears
 draped in love and care.
 The idyllic lyrics
and the mystique of her voice
soak my soul in a pint of trance
when she blossoms like a lily in
 my arms, to fortify my heart with love.
Idyllic Whispers (Etheree)
The moon
Shines at night whilst
 We saunter by dream lanes
 To see cupids fly under the
 Crescent
Moon's Cinquain
The poet wished to cry out loud And vent the slithering pain Yet void in his sinking heart Won't let him flee this blain. The pen then oozed in torrid red To scribe 'bout the hovering gloom Yet mind feared to find the words Which would write the poet's doom If the poet broke his promise No flower would ever bloom So pen hid the poet's torment Within a heap of silken plumes. Bleeding Pen-II
My nights seem vexatious
 For the pen's now been cursed
 The waves don't allure me
 I beg from door to door.
 The Ink has frozen long ago
 Heart beats bear no trace
 Somewhere in the wilderness
 Muses have found a place.
Frozen Ink
The pen rambled across the pad To write something untrue Yet mind and heart did seldom see When the pen hid it's rue. Mind could think but heart would long, for Insidious days to part Yet pen would foster spilling of Blood from the wounded heart. Verses written in sparkling red Couldn't sort the haze around A poet caught in the vicious fray Wouldn't want to be homebound. Prashant Shaurya © All Rights Reserved
Bleeding Pen-I
Sweet scent of earth Quenched in the rain Incites the poet's Wondrous wings. He flies across The growling clouds Holds thunder in His joyous pen. Then brings respite From skies above And a glimpse of His monsoon muse. Prashant Shaurya © All Rights Reserved
Monsoon Musings-I
When we hold on to a pious thought And pray from dusk to dawn Would longing stand the test of time When we pursue the unknown. When reverence leads to yearning for A glimpse of the Mighty Queen Would She shin down from heaven to earth To show us the Unseen. There comes a time which seldom comes In a pilgrim's ordained path When at doorstep of the Goddess He finds not love, but wrath. Prashant Shaurya © All Rights Reserved
The Pilgrim's Ordeal
Droplets of delight Trickle down, to bring respite. The Sunshine's vivid. Symphonies drizzle From the musician's guitar. Long lost melodies! Oft I see her dance With a genial smile that shines. The moon hides in clouds. Prashant Shaurya © All Rights Reserved
Monsoon Musings-III (Haiku Series)
Her voice is music for my soul And She's my April muse They way she came into my life Is a tale too abstruse. She took my heart in gentle strokes In a manner unheard, unseen I thought we'd write a story too About a monarch and his queen. The mighty Craftsman up above But took me by surprise; for Everything I wished to write Got vanished in disguise. Prashant Shaurya © All Rights Reserved
Love Unrequited
She moved her feet to nature’s tunes Dancing in chorus of the rain She flew with the rhythm of the wind And lightning added to the frame My monsoon muse got drenched in rain While she danced in ethereal sprees The peacocks danced along with her And so did the mighty trees. Prashant Shaurya ©
Monsoon Musings-IV
The li'll goat galloped
 While twilight kissed
 Contours of night.
She walked away
 While the moon
Guided her Home.
Late Night Musings
The raging river tears apart Mighty Himalayas’ sturdy frame It pierces the mountain’s rocky heart Burgeons, to fertilise the plains. The mist conspires with the clouds To pour down on the foothills weak Which crumble across the hilly terrain To break the traveller’s winning streak. Prashant Shaurya ©
Landslide
Maai, I wouldn’t have gone this far Never would have dared to do this But you weren’t around to guide me And baba said you won’t return. Maai, I feel homeless without you Like a droplet fallen away From the sea and far from thee But baba never consoled me. Maai I never knew the meaning Of those volcanic emotions underneath your struggle and smile But baba never saw your fears. Maai, you’ve gone away too far To a place that you deem safe Where no one knows that you and I are bound together by fate. Prashant Shaurya ©
