I was packing some snus
when I got up from a snooze
to put a ****
In a boiling vat of hotdog juice.
She was screaming and yelling
as I poured in the salt
and the cops busted my door
as my meal came to a halt.
I said "whats the rush?"
He said ***** hush"
As he sipped very angrily
at his watermelon slush.
I am black
yes very black
so they put me in the back
of their ****** cop van.
I went to jail again
For trying to cook a ****
in a boiling vat of hotdog juice
as I watched espn.
I got out of jail
Cause my drug money was bail
went back home
to see a fresh cooked **** in my garbage pail.
I was so happy
that I took a break to fappy
on my nice leather couch
while my girlfriend was napping.
Today was a good day.
Ice cube agreed.
I smoked all of my ****
and gave into my greed.

They ask, why care so much?
Simple, my ancestors blood and bones
are the foundation of this nation.
But that isn't your blood or mine?
We have come a long way!
True but broken chains
don't free us from shackles,
and half measures
can’t get us across the finish line.
If you hate it so much leave!
In case you missed point one
I'd much rather fix what's broken.
I want to make sure that the stacked deck
is reshuffled. That kids don't have to grow up
in war zones, where the only way out is debt
or a casket. Where people don’t get to profit
from the very thing that took others freedom.
I want a playing field that all can use,
where the rules make sense and the enforcers
are kind. Where I'm not the oddity
for never having been behind bars.
That people realize that there's more
to our culture than our bars.
I'm over the 40 acres
I want 24 Oscar's. Maybe then I'll see
myself on more than just ESPN and MTV.
Others have it far worse than you!
Well then let's elevate them too.
A rising tide raises all ships.
So let's create a flood that washes
out the hate. When will people realize
that we aren't enemies. That the system
crushing you is already destroying me.
If they can put people in cages for where
they were born then Eastside or south
of the border are just bad hands we are dealt.
I don’t know how to fix it
but I care too much to be quiet.

I cried myself to the shower last night.
I used boy shampoo over the arms that I’ve been scratching for hour, four hours spent trying to get the blood I hated so much to come up and sit on my skin like it was their art gallery, hanging on for display.
It never came.
I run water over me burning tears into camouflage,the words of an empty life stung to my head as if the thoughts branded it here on me permanently.
I’ve had nights like this before.
Nights where I put on the loosest pajamas I could find, the ones with ESPN written written as read as the books on my old library shelf. The ones I took when my brother went to work and left me by myself, the ones that made me feel manly, even if I didn’t look like a man.
I wouldn’t put a shirt on.
My chest was bare, not in the way I wanted, but I couldn’t tear off my breast and give them to a girl who wasn’t born with them, I’d just have to stare till my stomach growled and tears streamed down my face, fears of a life unloved and unlived made me put on a loose shirt and tell myself I wasn’t hungry, so instead I thought of you.
You, with your crooked smile when you see me at your doorstep with the sun’s colors draped in a bouquet. I show up in a fox shirt, the one I call lucky, and you count each and every one and you point out how dorky I am.
You, with your back on the mattress of the cheapest apartment we could find, reading love letters I’ve written to your baby sister over the phone, telling her of all my love in the distance of thousands of miles. I try to pretend I can’t hear you from the kitchen as I make you tea, the lemon juice coating it bronze with the color of its juice, your vase holds out bright sprouts of happiness as a centerpiece.
Daisies plague my mind on nights like these. They’re scattered at your funeral & my own on our graves, at the fifty yard mark.
“We’ve been rolling together since we were 25.”
Nights like these remind me that my masterpiece is so far, even if the dasies are so close, so near.

This morning, after he left,
I had a revelation -
Maybe some things are only meant
to happen
once.
Like, that time I was on ESPN at the basketball game.
Or, that time I met my favorite musician and he complimented my shirt.
Also, that time we all swam in the Aegean Sea as as the sun set, and we felt invincible.
I guess even the time that really dreamy boy slept in my bed and we made "love" all night.
So, maybe some things are only meant
to happen
once.
And, maybe realizing it will never happen again is what makes it feel perfect.
But, I wish some things could happen twice.
Or, I wish that I could freeze a fleeting moment,
and appreciate its entirety,
before it is gone.
Before I know its only going to happen
once.

It’s only been 2 days

Two weeks later
Unemployment check arrives
Much smaller than your pay
How will you survive?
Getting drunk and getting high
Drinking beer in the early afternoon
Watching ESPN and daytime T.V.
Hoping something comes up soon
On the internet looking for a job
Used to drink beer everyday
Times are tough
Not sure you can get the same pay.
Your old lady is asking questions
She is on your case
You tell her not to worry
But she just gets in your face.
You could spend this free time *******
But she’s got her head all messed up
She thinks there is a crisis
Nagging you while you’re down on your luck
She now makes more money than you
She holds all the cards

She likes being in charge.
What could have been a grand old time
Now has turned into an awful bind

Just fail to realize she was the fool.
Then, he's on ESPN talking about all the kids he have.
And in the cases of players, they by a various sought of girls.
And then seems like the fool.
When he facing the laws to take care them.
But don't have enough money to do that now.
Which makes him the fool.
And place her as the player getting over.
When in your eyes we just see two fools tht got played.
