I’ll bloom in spring
Alongside the Californian hills.
When the rain paints
The terrain green
With speckled white wildflowers,
I’ll tiptoe on sunlight
to touch the sky.
I’ll be the brightest star
They’ve yet to discover.
Shooting, shining, falling,
And wished upon.
Dry land, crispy and brown
Underneath my feet on
A winter night.

some days are like long nights
swallowing the bitter pill -
we strive to reach the spring

While moving
From winter to summer

Eyes closed - frigid wind
mouths open to tease snowflakes
onto waiting tongues

Leaving branches bare
we licked the icicle spears
floating in midair
Svetoslav Feb 2021
Walking down a peaceful mountain,
where shiny snowflakes fall beautifully and elegantly.
A nuance of white floats in the air,
painting the ground, coloring our vision.
Each one is unique, but all have the same structures,
yet are pretty similar despite their differences:

They are like you and me.
Some disappear and some appear.
The cycle of life we all center ourselves and move forward.
The new year is there to offer us something different.
We can make the difference like we ended all past years, in inference.

It is the winter
that makes the spring sweet.
Just like fall’s cool breeze
after summer’s heat.

The cold white expanse
and the leafless trees
wait expectantly
for the first spring tease.
I long for the Spring!
As the days brush the pages of a calendar
And the sunsets feel more monochrome
While the breeze feels less relaxing
When the stars seem to shine dimmer
Beyond the moon, misunderstood
With the tides turning, burdensome
The road will lead to March,
And then forever on.
