again i find myself
drowning in you
****** together
like waves on the shore.
i'm ready to go under
and feel you fill my lungs
you are my oxygen.

Fog and wind are my kin,
The windswept waves my Mother is
She birthed me from her darkened depths,
Her Icy air was my first breath,
She nursed me upon her salty spray,
And nurtured me in her fickle way.

And when she deemed me to be a man,
She sent me off to distant lands.

Her Currents were my knowing Guide,
Upon her waves I did ride,
And Many wonders did I behold,
From shore-side castles to cities of gold.

But a long time has passed since then….

Now I sit, a scuttled ship,
With wispy sails and a rotted frame.
Beached upon the dry Wind-blasted shore.

I might strike out again, once more,
One last time…

in a skiff  without a compass or aim
To set out beyond the maps farthest known lines
Farther even then dragons’ dare,
Carried on my mothers tide.

there shall I take my final breath,
Icy, cloying and keen.
Cares stripped, all content, no regret,
Welcome Death….
Return I , smiling, from whence I came.
I wrote this while I was going through a depression cycle. I have always loved the Sea, and the idea of just floating out into the water forever really appealed to me at the time.

as the sun goes down
the dark night creeps
and shadows consume all
leaving me helpless

even though i'm alone,
my heart beats still
and i shall fill your void
with the sound of seas

waves crash upon the shore
spraying me with droplets
and the world said
i will be alright

Here I lie
Thoughts at bay
Rainy days
Are here to stay

The thoughts of you
Etched in clay
Rinsed away
The river's wave

Here I lie
Thoughts at bay
Memories they swish
My smile away

You watch the world go by, content
You need not change a thing

Warm, yet distant from the heat
Watching, unaffected and not affecting, you smile
You could watch the world burn and the heat wouldn’t touch you
You’ve already faded, you’re jaded, scars lost long ago

You’re an Orange Outsider
Insusceptible, unimpressionable
You’ve surrendered, yet you continue on
Looking on
Watching waves crash
With a worn smile
and dulled Orange eyes
Curly hair

even today
I can't tell if the ocean
is raging war
on the shore,

or  every wave
is a desperate attempt
to get back to his lover.

the gentle lapping of salty waves, break onto the shore,

The wave of change is coming fast-
into the tide contentment's cast
it's the only way to sail from past
to brightest futures; A risen mast...

and a seagull, somewhere, sings in F minor.

no human can ignore:
no matter race, religion, class,
that the waves propel us, or
drowns us beneath their mass.

The wave of change's tolling tide
has come again for us, we tried
to keep using whatever we
  contrived,
to surf  change's wave,
 wildly we ride.
me and you

I'll take you to the waves
you can fly above it
or dive into the deep
once you reach the bottom
I'll sling you back up
I'll throw you the moon
you can stick your flag there
or you can conquer it all
After all you've seen
it's your choice

Stay
or
Stray
until
you come back home

Waves of the ocean
show us life
how it has been
and how it will rife.

Waves are like feelings
you cannot stop its coming
there is nothing you can do
but learn surfing.

Waves are like the choices
one makes in life
choose one, or
wait for the other.

Life like waves is all about
the rise and fall
never stop flowing
till you reach land.
