In a far away land, a long time ago,
there was a revolt in the kingdom of Nah.
The people were tired of the king’s dark ways,
and forced him to make a change.
“I do not wish to harm my land,
I hate to hear my people cry,
so I will change my ways to appeal to you,
and to prove it, I will build my castle from glass”
Now the people could watch him work,
And monitor all he did.
Assured that their king was honest,
the people went about their days.
But the king was harsh,
The dungeons were full,
Still the people would say,
“If his ways are bad,
Then why would he put them on display?”
Taxes rose, corpses piled,
And the kingdom fell to ruin.
When the people asked
“What has happened?”
A wise woman said to them,
“You turned the castle to glass,
But what about the king?”

Between the stars,
There are particles afar,
Between dreams for each,
Ghosts appear beyond reach,
Between flames a'glow,
Sparks fly for us, we know,
Between shadows and light,
We're all shades in the night,
Between water and air,
Mists can form anywhere,
Between notes and song,
Music can linger along,
Between breaths that meet,
We share kisses so sweet,
It's between you and your next wife,
Time you got a life!
Feedback welcome.
an inquisitive bird did narrate
his tale of a tryst
regarding Mrs Jean Jameson
and Mr Laurie List

in the forest some four miles
out of Thomas Town
they'd covertly meet on Tuesday
to play hands down

the bird always had his
eye trained on suspect activity
that was happening in
his immediate proximity

I wish life was like a fairy tale
Bright colors and happiness
Soulmates with never-ending love

Life isn’t like that
Just cruel and non-forgiving
Everyone waiting for their happy ending

An ox did once tell me a tale
and I listen to his voice unveil,
An ox did once tell me a tale.

It starts with hooves and ends in May,
I dare not, a word I dare not say,
It starts with hooves and ends in May.

It speaks of mountains old and new,
Of such grandeur I did not knew,
It speaks of mountains old and new.

He sits atop  a sailing stone,
And moves without moving a bone,
He sits atop a sailing stone.

An ox that moves by standing still,
It’s so massive, no wolf dares ****
an ox that moves by standing still.

The stone is cold and shrinks away,
It does not sail in light of day,
The stone is cold and shrinks away.

Under the moon a stone shall dance,
And one could tell with just a glance,
Under the moon a stone shall dance.

It melts away under the sun,
And when the night is done
it melts under the sun.

He tells a story of his crime
I listen to his voice, sublime.
He tells the story of his crime.

The ox was young and fell in love,
He did at first see stars above.
The ox was young and fell in love.

A lady red, of skin pale-white,
The ox with love he couldn’t fight!
A lady red, of skin pale-white.

She came to him and whispered loud
Of how her dream would make her proud,
She came to him and whispered.

He told his story to a point
He would not let me go beyond
He told his story to the point.

I listened close and said right back,
“I know your pain, I lived it too”,
I listened close and said right back.

“I knew a lady, pale and red
And I did take her to my bed,
The lonely lady, pale and red.

She looked at me with deep-blue eyes
And I thought I found paradise,
I lost myself in deep-blue eyes.

She came to me and whispered high
That now we have to say goodbye…
She came to me and whispered high.”

And so the ox told me a tale
As I looked in a mirror, pale.
And so the ox was told a tale.

It felt like a drainpipe down the gullet of the actress
As she leapt out of sight of the red baroness
Asking, why do the streetlights stay blue?
And will the soil maintain its hue?

Faceless people eating capriciously
As they tenderly speak of their shore leave
As they’re foisting their dreams to their sleeves
Speaking of odd, foreign fleece

Decadent manners spoke in secret tongues
Polarized banners through brazen tar lungs
As bravado finds a new face
To win wars with one holy gaze

Something’s the matter but it’s all for nought
As the gilded Centurion claims he forgot
What he built his first child’s house upon
For all his sons are vagabonds

I mimicked a child in the way he embraced
His nascent complacence to the human race
Clinging to a wooden rail
For fear of the careless hail

A man claimed his newsboy hat kept him enclosed
For his fear that his thought-dreams would serve to corrode
The last bastions of society
Which he clings on to haplessly

The visor hung low on the Titan of Rhodes
For he knew of the judgment on one head exposed
In his position above
Where the sky belongs only to doves

Calendars festoon their tactless grace
With legions of chandeliers, forming a haze
Now, we know that the days are numbered
Yet, the fact leaves us all encumbered

Facsimiles of the nationwide veins
Will collapse next year as they fight for the grain
Now, the horse is extinct with the train
And everyone fears to remain

It's a tale of time
When I like him,
Then I love him,
I need him.
He left,life left.
I hate everyone.
I resent me.
To the time,
I discover me.
The real me.
And in the end,
I love me.
You realise that you had move on ,when you listen to his name and don't feel anything anymore.
