Bleed out the pale blue you left in me -
Just a quick haunt back to your place
And we were at the beginning
To those secrets I laid into you where
The heart sang (withdrew).
Your words like ***** clothes
Scattered across the floor of my mind (rewind) –
White noise fingertips traced a frame
Where something used to be
Carrying swollen memories
Like bullets in my body.

i'm just a conflation
of swollen lips
and drunken midnights

Still not awake
This corpse is pleading merces
But is yet to be given
I can hear these bones crackle
At every jolt, every spasm
They keep me asleep
These lullabies

This desolate throat
Delivers none but drought
Painful, but bearable still
These swollen eyes have never before
Felt this oppressed
How I wish they knew rest

This blade, above all
Transcends the screaming sting
*****, pang
These throes that tingle
Stay silent til the morn says so

Fantasy:
Swollen lips.
Bruises on my hips.
Goosebumps through your fingertips.

Reality:**
Swollen heart.
Bruises from my thoughts.
Hating how you tear me apart.
My desire for you may be strong, but I can't handle the side effects of you any longer.

IT'S THE INTOXICATING WAY
YOU DIDN'T CARE OR NEVER
WILL CARE ABOUT ME AND
MY PROBLEMS. IT'S THE WAY
YOU USED TO BREATHE MY
NAME IN THE DARKNESS
WHEN YOU THOUGHT I
COULDN'T HEAR. IT'S THE WAY
YOU DENIED BEING THE TINIEST
BIT ATTACHED TO ME EVEN
THOUGH BOTH YOU AND I
KNEW YOU WERE. BUT MOST
OF ALL, IT'S THE WAY YOU
LEFT ME, A SOBBING MESS ON
THE FLOOR, WITH YOUR NAME
AS A LAST BREATH ON MY
SWOLLEN LIPS.

A boy
His green eyes harsh and focused
Hair a light brown and cut short
It is messy and flat
From a hat that's held in his hand
A girl
Hair cascading to her shoulders
In a river of golden blonde
Eyes an ice cold blue
But have a soft look
They stand in a crowded room of people
Yet they only see each other
They are far
They are separate
They are strangers
But a connection is created
Their eyes meet for barely a second
And time stops
The rest of the world put on hold
For a simple glance
And there it lies
A black and blue bruise
Covering one of his blissful green eyes
It is swollen too
The boy takes the hat from his hands
Places it on his head
And pulls it down to hide the bulge of an eye
Nonetheless the girl saw it
No matter how long the look was for
She remembers
She's intrigued by it
She curious as to how he got it
What his story is
Why he is hidding it
Why he let her see
Even if it was only for a second
But while all this runs in her mindo
The boy has broken the intense gaze
He has moved on
Continued on his corse
Leaving the girl only to
Imagine
Work in progress
Facile flirtations
Sighs and sorrows
The depth of brevity
Sonorously sinking
Rising slowly
Washed by the rain
Drifting
The swollen ocean
Rolling, pounding
An avalanche of sound
Cascading, sublimating.

I.
I will write about you every day
in verses, in words, in peculiar lines.
First, about how you never left
my tiny center when
our eyes first met.
And lastly, to no end,
how you will, in that space,
(would every day for this year) stay.

I will write about you every day
and hereupon, I lay my words
in my behalf.
Revolutions happen like refrains in a song, I guess?
