space has never been so tempting,
yet so frustrating.
the stars are alluring,
so far from the chaos,
pollution, and bloodshed
of this cursed world.
the cosmos deliver their invitation:
they have a warm welcome waiting,
a hearth to curl up next to,
so to speak.

yet stand 6 feet away from anyone,
it feels like galaxies between.
a sweet embrace has been
foreign for months,
now something to die for,
quite possibly.

is resting far above the worries
of the earth worth leaving
the rosy cheek of humanity?
i wanna be on the moon right now ****

The stars still tell me
stories about you and I'm
so glad I listened

The grains of sand stuck
to the sweat in between my
toes are each as big and
burning as any star stuck
into the spilt Black—
each mass a Giant searing
through skin, bubbling towards
the hollow flues of bone,
kindling a greater burn that
shines out my eyes, reflecting
my own Ancient Chaos back
at those watchful fires
in the sky;
call it an introduction,
a nod in acknowledgement
of our meetings to come.

Whisper to me the dreams you have while you
sleep       awake.
Now it's so late,
and it's the rattling of the pill bottles, the TV saying

Time's arrow only marches forward.

You touch yourself.
I touch myself.

I watch you through pixelated screens and we're shooting a film where the protagonist falls in love with a girl that
has                    no                      body,
but a nose underwater, and a heart in the microwave.

You have a ***** thing in your head.
There won't be sweat-stained linens to wash.

The cloth tears
shredding
dust unfurling
circling towards the ground
glinting as the sun slices through the shades
burning on each fleek a final glow
a most mundane silent explosion

The universe tearing apart
scattering the stars at high speeds
rocks tearing through black
turning into space sand
things becoming smaller
So minuscule there’s no word for
what is more minuscule than quarks

It’s contrary then
That quiet even exists
day after day certain things I feel I’m owed
a sense of guaranteed control over my destiny,
when all I am is the shrapnel of the stars
collected together in a precarious cluster
a mathematical anomaly of particles
that settled together
blindly believing they’ll never fall apart.
there's no such thing as nothing

Adrift amongst the endless cold.
Burning with embers that never grow old.
Here I sat for many years.
Slowly pulled by my neighboring peers.

Pure energy streams from my eternal fires.
Warming up from my immediate desires.
What a joy to be watching from out here.
Reaching out to all things both far and near.

My favorite game is that of tug and war.
Using my mass to lure in so much more.
In they come to fuel my wage.
A never ending, burning, cosmic rage.

Out here it is survival of the biggest.
The brightest, largest, densest, fittest.
Only these hold their weight,
In this cosmic soup of Heaven's gate.

Come join me, if you so wish.
My secrets served on this stellar milky dish.
Come to me, my traveling friend.
Knowledge I have in mass to lend.

Seek your way amongst us in your ships.
Have no fears if the hull rips.
Fear not the vastness of space.
Fear only that which leads to your own disgrace.

I wait patiently for you to come.
Empires have been born, and become undone.
Yet I know one day you shall come to visit me.
As I sit watching, waiting, isolated from thee.

how we do not know
until the character life steps into play

how we do not move
until the whisper of thought helps you to your feet

how we do not breath
until the press of air takes you on its wing

how we do not live
until the wave of emotion shapes space to your skin

how we do not love
until desire sits you on its tongue to taste

how we do not be
until the souls keep puts light to the shadows face

Earthrising
   caught us all
by surprise,
   unprepared
to see,
   for the first time
how singular the earth
   floats in space.
We thought the moon
   exploration,
new worlds,
   were the goal
instead,
   humanity amazed
to discovered oneness:
   one planet,
one homeland,
   one human race.

I want to cure the grievances of my heart,
but it feels like a Rubik Cube with the stickers peeled off.
and even when I say I need some space
I don't mean any words I say
please don't go too far away
