We must be
             bypassing
    each other
         along these
streets our
       eyes locked
      to our phones
     smiling to
the humour in
someone's
   consolation about
being single
           on their
  Facebook status
    otherwise
        what
            explains this
               delay in
               our encounter?

I greatly enjoy being single.
I dare you to change my mind with your actions and character
It's a declaration with a small signature
Except i'm not rebelling from a king
I'm letting you know it's me

I hate Love
and lets be honest
I don't think
that I'm ever gonna Love it...

There are times
Where I am doing well
Standing strong
Because my life as
A single entity is awesome
But then the loneliness
Creeps behind my
Insecure mind
And fights to drag
Me into a deep depression.
I want to be independent me
But what is one shoe without
It's other half.

Hip Horray, it's Valentinesday
so you can find me in my room all day
locked up with bottles of ***** and beer
not going out since I know what awaits me out there

Couples walking hand in hand
Both with empty wallets, mostly the man's
whose reward will await him later tonight
If his girl decides that it's only right
to give him something, which he surely will like....

Anyway I don't really care
since I'm busy drinking ***** and beer
I'll probably be sleeping soon
and if i'm lucky then
I won't wake up before noon.
Hopefully this Valentinesday
will be over soon

Saint valentine I thank you
For this day you helped create
It opens up our hearts
And might even change our fate

Perhaps that handsome stranger called
Or maybe your Best Friend
Possibly no one at all
But that doesn't make this the end

Love is there for everyone
But it comes in different shapes and forms
For some it's at first sight
For others twenty years

Or maybe you're one of those special
Girls or guys whose been chosen for
A different life

But I don't care about that so much
So I'll still say
