Not only like a real guardian,
But more dedicated than a real father,
A dutiful lover is always,
Thinking of new ways,
Happier can be his lover.

I thought as one for her too, but,
As she was sick of my mature advice,
She ditched me for someone else,
In my eyes tears swell but fail to fall.

Yes, I have moved on.

Can someone just help me to do my own thing?
Can someone help me to forget the past?
Can someone help me to be quick as lightning?

Can someone help me to even bother?
Can someone help me become wise?
Can someone help me to try harder?

Can someone help me to get a clue?
Can someone help me be confident?
Of course, once I do it all just for you...
a ham Apr 2016
you were once
a pig
a living,
breathing,
organism

but now
all you are
is a ham
a single slice
of processed deli meat

on your own,
not nearly enough
to ever
be *satisfied
the only added ingredients for this ham is my salt over the name i was given by this site

I'm not trying to be like everyone else
Following crowds to fit in.
I don't need you to make me happy, because your happiness is a weight of lies and loss all on me that I don't want to carry anymore.
I don't need to look like you to get noticed.
I don't need to talk or dress like you to stand out.
because I really won't.
It would look just like you and that would bit the purpose of standing out.
So maybe I'm the black sheep.
Maybe I don't fit in.
Maybe you don't like me.
So what!
At least I know I'm standing out enough for you to notice me and worry about whether you like me or not.
So thank you for lifting up my spirit because now I have the energy to be where I once was.
On Top Of The World.

Fluorescent lights at 3 A.M.
My thighs are shaking
Your hand is on the steering wheel
My heart is racing
Everything is fast
The world is ours

Fall fall falling down
The tears roll down my cheeks as I frown
Was on the mountaintops but then everything turned upside down
Fall fall falling down

What to do
Don't have a clue
But no one else will fill these shoes
The fog surrounds me but I must break through

Two hands on a rope
Losing grasp losing hope
But I must not mope
It's just a downward *****

Then you came along
Catchy like a good song
Making me feel like nothing was wrong
Showing me that here with you is where I belong

You held onto me tightly like a snug coat
Smile on my face like if I was reading a love note
And I don't mean to gloat
But I don't need a rope cause when I'm with you I can float

Sometimes when you're down all you need is a hand
Someone that can make you feel grand
Somebody that can help you stand
Or pull you up when you're buried in the sand

That's what you are to me
My light in the dark, my shimmering sea
When the way seems clouded you help me see
And I'll always be by your side cause there's no place I'd rather be

As I lay on my poorly-made bed,
listening to the angelic voice of Bon Iver,
admiring the words that dance out of his mouth
into my lonesome ears, I feel the waters
that consume my body settle
My heartbeat is steady
My body is still
My mind is at ease
This is the definition of satisfaction,
appreciating the subtleties of life
that make such an impact in a single moment

The crow works its way sideways on the wire.
Nature lives at full tilt. It does not worry

That it may soon be used up.  It lives in the moment
In pursuit of having a fulfilled purpose.

For the busy crow the fleeting moments pass unnoticed;
Time scarcely has consequences for the satisfied;

Down he flies for crusts of hamburger buns.
