I remember sixth grade.
Everyone told me you couldn't fall
in love so young. So I distanced myself from you.

I remember seventh grade.
You begged me to come back,
but I told you all the words they told me were true.

I remember eighth grade.
I never saw you even once but couldn't
stop thinking about all the things we used to do.

I remember ninth grade.
I saw you every single day but,
by then, you were with someone brand new.

I remember tenth grade.
You were still with her happily
and I cried. It was all my fault, I knew.

I remember eleventh grade.
You were single and I had high hopes
that once again it'd be me and you.

I remember twelfth grade.
You had graduated the year before
so I saw exactly zero of you.

I remember yesterday.
I ran into you at the store and thought
'this is my chance' until I noticed a girl that was new.

What do you do when you question life?
Do you dwell on the past or do you look forward to the future?
It's easy to remember the bad things we've been through but how often do we look back at the positive things and just smile?
Remembering the negatives and focusing on the bad is hardly going to help.
What if you embrace the now, live for today and remember tomorrow is a new day?
Wouldn't that be a better way to live life?
Life is too short to constantly think about regrets and what ifs.
Do you want to be someone who's life is dictated by worry or do you want to take risks and enjoy life while you can?
Do you let the best years of your life fly by or do you take control and lead the life you want to?
There's only one pilot controlling your life.
Make sure the journey is a memorable one.

I knew i should have went for it when i had a green light free to go

I also knew i should have when when i had a yellow light and made sure i proceeded  with caution

But now i really should have stopped when i saw the red light
because that was my stopping point
and i treated it like a green light
And now here i am, stuck at a yellow light carefully stepping, where to go, what to say, or even do, just waiting for a green light to tell me its okay to go

adolescence

it is the time
where we try
to find ourselves
a time
where we break the rules
or maybe just bend em'
a time where love is found
a time where hearts are broken
a time of freedom
and no one can stop us
thought this was kinda cute, so i decided to share with you guys. was also kind of in a good mood and felt like writing. might turn this into a song. idk yet.  hope you guys enjoy :)

As the rain pours and hides my tears,
I am thinking of all my fears.
My fear of losing you.
My fear of falling out of love with you.

As the rain pours and touches my skin,
I am thinking of us and what could have been.
What would happen if we took the risks?
What would happen if we knew what went amiss?

As the rain pours and drenches my heart,
I'm in pain thinking we're apart.
Hoping that as the rain goes away,
You'll come back and stay.

I want to have you back
but I'm afraid to take the risks

I love you still, it's a fact
but it's the painful part I don't miss

I learned my lesson the hard way
and it's not the kind of spot I wanted to stay

I'm in the verge of believing your words
as if my heart has it's own accords

But then the moment you change your mind again,
where will I be next?
For sure, I won't definitely put that to the test.

I'm sorry but I'm not brave enough to take things through
but then, ARE YOU?
