Deep down in the depths of my ****** veneer,
I hear my name.

Do I answer or just stay here nestled in the vapour of Lethe?
Oblivion has merits, concealment of self in still water.

Aimlessly, carelessly swirling in drowsy drug fuelled forgetfulness.
Before we die we drink this water and pass on unhindered.

Ties are undone, people and places, completely erased
to be reincarnated, entering flesh again.

My name again is called, and with this sound comes memories.
I want to stay on the shore of Lethe. But, no.

Selfishness pulls me back to sight and sound
I am dead amongst the living.

In Phaedo, Plato makes his teacher Socrates, prior to his death, state: "I am confident that there truly is such a thing as living again, and that the living spring from the dead."

My reincarnation theory's fraught
With personal reasons to come back;
So many battles to be fought,
One lifetime's just not enough.
Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Jews,
Have tried to tell us what to choose;
But on my own,
If truth be known,
I've decided to return,
If you'll come back with me,
We could do it all again.
I entrust my dreams to a silent hope
that they will someday find their place
in this, a past or future life
same smile on different face

I entrust my thoughts to travel time
to land where there is need
a sense of calm
a flash of joy
where nothing grows
a seed

I entrust my love to peer across
the synchronistic chain
to spy it's true immortal mate
hearts join like tears and rain

I entrust my soul to find a home
in this universal plan
lives re-written
searching for
the key to understand

I was fearful of death claiming my breath

As my every motive was opened in thought,

Light faded and all was gestured to nothingness

I was evanescent that flicker of singularity

But in that blink I was reborn in purest form

All was not forgotten just forged anew.

Reincarnated in a celestial aura cleansed or mortal thoughts.
This is a follow up on this poem below  using the  6words and the title incorporating all into a newer piece.

When a star reaches death it expands
When it’s core can no longer stand up against gravity
It bursts
The particles of the once bright and flaming ball of light
Drift off into space
Slowly forming a new heavenly body
Something beautiful
Something better
Let me be a fixed luminous point in the sky
A remote incandescent body like the sun
Let me float in space alone and start anew
Let me be a star

Her life lost in a lonely, soulless world
She wandered, searching for the sand to stand
Dwelling in the dark, fighting frigid seas
She wrote plays, poems and pieces of art
A teller of tall tales, a petit princess
Clad in the costume of a wanderer
Her soul, happy as a bird in its bath
But a black cloud cluttered her brain
Lost like dust in a lonely desert
This Dawn would never peak past dark nights again
{i remember}

She comes to presence
in a great wave of grief
that has no bottom.

{water cannot swim}

Feeling the unbearable
weight of womanhood
tearing me open,
revealing my own sorrows.

{a channel of life}*

To be a gate of love and blood,
the flesh of desire,
bearer of all burdens,

was so traumatic I was reborn
in the body of a man.

As dusk sets on this pasture
somehow a burger wrapper manages to find its way back home.
This sense of vapid euphoria sets in among the cows,
as they all gather to greet their brethren...
So different in form,
yet it's as if the farmer never took him away
in the first place.

And as I sit at this desk
under a parade of fluorescent lights,
I can't help but be ushered down the hallways of my mind.

Life cycles, yet is a burger any less of a cow?

Now I can greet the trashcan with a new found sense of kinship.

he sits, patient and waiting
under a copse of diseased trees

but when the first bands of light
pierces through the trees' protective canopy

he will fade away
with the stars and their waning light
a quick something i threw together to celebrate my return to hellopoetry. it's been long since i've logged on.

I'm sinking under the waters surface
In some sort of helpless hoping
that they'll entangle me inside
of their electric lace curtains,
Won't you engulf me?
Swallow me whole and
electrocute me.

Maybe then I'll wake up as one of you.
Sinking for completely different reasons
flowing gracefully, seeking out prey.
Let me explore with you...
