One day a girl laid under a tree
She wished her life was rid of sorrow and suffering
She wished for her life to be simple and happy
One day a girl laid under a tree and felt as though she was nothing but a pebble sinking to the bottom of the sea
She wished she felt a different way she wished she was a different way
One day a girl laid under a tree and wished she was six feet down
She wished that the darkness took her away
She wished that the cold brought her warmth
One day a girl sat under a tree and wished she was different
She wished she was happy
She wished she was satisfied with herself
She wished the insecurities were gone
One day a girl laid under a tree
With the brisk winds to keep her calm
The flowing leaves dancing above her
The clouds moving gracefully
She wished she was one with the earth
She wished she was an ant
Or possibly a bird
Then she could be simple
Simple and happy
One day a girl laid under a tree.

I am content
here, on the concrete step
carved out for the homeless man.

I am content
with the 30 minute wait
for a bowl of hot eggs.

I am content
wandering the streets
not knowing where to go.

I am content.

When fate comes,
he will beckon.

Home is in the walls of this body,
old creaky bones and toothy smiles.
Soft footsteps fueled by inner hearth.
These arms can hug themselves.

I need not worry.

I am content.
I am content.

Your loving hands dried up my tears,
And water droplets no longer blur my vision.

Your caring hands removed my blindfold,
And I can see you now as clear as day.

Your powerful grace transformed my frozen heart,
And it now beats to the rhythm of your love.

Ever since I stopped running,
Ever since I stopped and accepted my mistakes,

I have been able to forgive myself,
                                  Love myself,
                                  And just be
                                                      Me
                                                       Authentically.
       I was so lost,
                 But I’ve been found.

I’m holding onto you
                                      With both hands
                                                                   And a tight grip
I will never
                     Let
                          You
                                Go

Because if I lose you, then I will lose myself.

I love you King Jesus. Forever and Always.

Sometimes I touch upon
The rippled waves
And fresh salt smell
Careless and free
I swim
In the blue lagoons
Listening to the hum
Of a busy earth
That passes too fast
Around me.
Sometimes I feel the sun
Its warmth pricking
Against my skin
Reminding me
To breathe spring in.

Watching the sunset
feels so peaceful
Watching the sunset
indeed's blissful
But no sunset
can be so beautiful
when i look at you
some poem drafts on my notebook

Many moments recalled in pain
Even as everyone wonders in vain
Martin lay motionless at the Lorraine
Photos pour popular chords of disdain

His was a hallowed history to gain
Innocence into infinity’s drain
Seasons secure will never be slain

Passing hours by the window
Taking in the sun's warm glow;
Some may say I'm wasting time
But that shows me what they know.

The peace of mind it gives me
To see the world at work,
Gives me strength to deal with
The Skeptic's fatal smirk.

Stay awhile, take a breath,
Sit with me and talk-
We'll watch the day bloom and fade
Like a wilting flower stalk.

Sometimes I feel like a stone caught between tides
I crave to be smoothed beautifully by life
Sometimes I am knicked
Sometimes I'm pulled too far beneath
But I will always find my way back to the shoreline.
I will glisten in the sun, and ride the waves
Where the water takes me next, I will never know.
But I am not aimless, or without purpose
I'm eternal, even in death
My memory etched in every wave, every grain of sand.
I am a rock you see.
I'm always exactly where I need to be.

and as the shadows lenghtened
my cat and i
we settled down on an unused staircase
leading to a door that isn’t going anywhere
sun poured its gold all over us
as we bathed in momentary bliss
my tummy served as a cushion for his paws
caressed him as he was slowly fell asleep
showering him with delicate kisses on his forehead

and i wondered
how many evenings like these
have i missed
hidden in my room
with this heaven at my fingertips

scared by how okay i would be
with dying in that moment

So fresh and free
Joy is spread
Calm is instilled
Heat withdraws
With drops of life
All is cleansed
