one more thing that i gotta know,
before you go,
is the love real?
one more thing that i gotta know,
before you go,
is the love real?
one more thing that i gotta know,
before you go,
is the love real?
one more thing that i gotta know,
before you go,
is the love real?
one more thing that i gotta know,
before you go,
is the love real?
one more thing that i gotta know,
before you go,
is the love real?

well..........is it ?

i'm gonna make it
im gonna take the hundred steps

i'm gonna make it
i'll take one day at a time and it will soon be ninetynine

i'm gonna be ok
lots people have climbed this before me

i'm gonna be ok
i can do it beacuse i'm strong

i'm fine for now
but it will get better
it wont be easy
it will take a while

but i'll make it
i'll be ok..

The cruel cold sea spits out salt in tall waves.
Can’t breathe when I sing or I’ll choke on sand.
Ships sail through rough seas, black skies blur
sight of those on board. Smell the damp oak creak
from blue strength, can’t slow the whirlwind in the clouds.
Let the storm brew, then pick up the spines of shells
that broke and danced in the waves. Can’t see
the shore through the haze; look for the twist and turn
of sand as it laughs – look for shimmering jewels
and gem stones, and light from the lamp
at the edge of the reef. Safe from harm.

I'll pretend
Once again
That I don't feel bad
I'll pretend that I don't feel anything at all
While I slowly strip my walls that are already empty and stranded
While I quickly rediscover how depressed my soul is and how hollow the hole in my heart is
I'll pretend
Once again
That I'm okay,
but on the inside I don't feel like being here at all
I just want to wallow and listen to music until I have to pretend again or figure out how to end my pain
So I'll pretend
That once again
That I don't feel sad
I'll pretend that nothing hurts me until I wallow again
I pretend a lot lately.

I lay on my back, absorbing the warmth.
I dream.

I look up at the sky.
I watch the clouds as they take shape.

I count the sheep,
They are swimming in the heaven's blues.

I think of the times I let my self tear.

I hope that i'm gazing at the same sky as You.

twenty nine steps on a staircase
lavender smell on the softness of your neck
broken bonds broken bones broken bonds broken bones
I wrapped your nightshade bouquet in lace
so it would not burn your frozen fingers

I open my mouth and stained glass falls out
twenty nine steps on a staircase

they pulled your teeth out with forks
while I screamed through the satin
and fought through the stars
I reached out towards you
but my hands grabbed only thorns
and calamity dripped down my hands
twenty nine steps on a staircase

they threw grey dirt on my face
grass and blossoms in my lungs
my fingernails are blue and blue for you
twenty nine steps on a staircase
my eyes are moist with drops of dew
every morning I wake up and drown in your sweet water

29 steps on a staircase
29 steps on a staircase

I was sleeping and woke up choking
I opened my mouth
and eleven pearls came tumbling out
they sat in the palm of my hand
they were your wishes
I put them under my pillow
and forgot they were there

twenty nine steps on a staircase
I pushed you down twenty nine steps on a staircase

would you listen to arctic monkeys
and sit behind a pine tree
while we just be free
with me?

I am human
I am selfish
and sometimes selfless
I am broken
and sometimes whole
I am unintellectual
and sometimes full of knowledge
I am capable
and sometimes insecure

I am destructive
and sometimes constructive
I am emotionless
and sometimes too emotional
I am happy
and sometimes far too upset
I make sense
and sometimes I'm just contradictory

But there's one thing I had in mind
throughout the construction of this poem.

*I am who I am,
And nothing you say or do,
Will make me feel otherwise.
