Human Observations (the woman pees)

if you walk the world with pen and paper
or eclectic electronic devices,
sure as the sunrise espied,
the pen will quick leak
when wearing white
and so will too the
righteous words

when you can't sleep and you must
slam your sweaty fist into pillow
know that the pillow is
silent thinking, dude,
you really ain't
got a hope, a

fallen asleep in the soaking tub
a thousand and one times,
ain't never drowned like
the warning ones say I
will do but really when
restless in my rustling night sleep
of no-safety in my lumpy bed,
have I dream-drowned
a million

the woman pees, safe and secure,
comforted by the knowledge
that we have bathrooms
separate, her toilet,
man *** free, tho
we just finished
making sweaty,
fluid swapping

she does not, won't put on makeup
in her pj's to take out the garbage,
that is why she keeps loverman,
so handy, nearby, shamelessly
firm, unwavering, good god,
great for one "disposable"
use per night

when you tell your child that you love them,
and they do not reply at all, it isn't that they
don't love ya back, 'tis only that they haven't
learned to love themselves something that
just cannot be taught.

the more trinkets I buy her,
more she screams stop,
but never not once
has she said, here,
take it

if you don't believe in Faeries and Elusives,
try, for then you have a middling chance
of getting the missing, disappearing
whole sock hiding in her ******,
back, intact

If must look up the time where your
love is currently hiding/residing,
then the probability is more than
1.000, that you no longer love
her enough, or she, you,
not at all

you know it is time to shut down,
hang up the pen and close the
iPad cover, surrender, give up
the poetry gig 4 real when
you start to prefer
the autocorrect

More to follow.
a buffet table
endless combinations
but I'm not hungry

with a heart, there’s desire

where a want, there’s a need

there may be a tomorrow

it’s not guaranteed

where you don’t take a chance

then I’m sure you have failed

such is our lives

and what they entail

you’re sure to encounter

it’s well understood

but why not try something?

as “can’t” never could
remove "can't" from your vocabulary and you'd really be surprised what you can accomplish

I am so afraid of becoming White Collar Micheal.
He likes to act like his life is so hopelessly blightful, because his name is White Collar Micheal.
On the weekend, he throws on a tie-dye.
Goes from Business Man, to Mr. Nice Guy?
Deep down you know it's a facade, aka,
Your big life's a big lie.
He does so many uppers you may as well call it the tweekend.
He fills his mind with illusions of grandeur.
I look at him and think "you need to be a man first."
Instead of filling my head with candy and dreams, I face my demons.
And it's utterly delightful because I know I will never become a
White Collar Micheal.
Full disclosure, I didn't write this poem. It was written by my Husband - still working on a pen name.

howling, screeching, slinging poo
the monkey's me, the monkey's you
regurgitation, repetition
it seems to be how we're conditioned
are we really making any progress?
or are we just going in circles?

Titled floors
high heel click clack
people don't like to dress up
So there is a sadness in
their sloppiness
a feel of force
to wear this
wear that
a tie in
not enough knots.

until I lost some weight
now people fear I’ll waste away
too quiet
‘til I speak my mind
now they’re all ******,
wish I would die
wear too much black
wear pink one day
now everyone assumes I’m ***
work out an hour,
now I’m crazy
I take a break
now i’m too lazy
the truths I tell
become a lie
all people do is criticize
too meek
too weak
an ***
too crass
It doesn’t change
until I die
nobody will be satisfied
can't please everybody... or, anybody, in my case. But f**k 'em

I pull into my driveway and my neighbor is standing in front of his door wearing a wife beater, basketball shorts that go to his mid calf and his bare feet shoved into too small slides most likely from 2005.
Nearly every part of him is large, outside of the fact that he’s 5’7”: his beer belly protrudes from his ribbed cotton shirt, his ego escapes from his messy house (his door is wide open, all the cold air is escaping),
He watches me park.
His woman, for lack of a better term, stands up straight at right underneath his eyebrow, and she glares at me too.
I let my hand trace the chair sitting on my front porch for a few seconds and wonder why I’ve never sat here before.
Residue rain falls from the outside banister and I feel as at home as I’ve ever felt in this ****** little god forsaken studio.
My neighbors are still watching me and I realize it’s because they don’t recognize me. I’m rarely here.
With the hair on my arms all standing up in unison, I unlock my door and step inside,
drop my keys and count my money.
My knees are rusty, I feel small.
There’s only so many times you can do this, and only so many times I can too.

two floor fans
perched side by side

one at full blast
******* in air
blowing it out
without a care
who's there
to receive

the other
half the height
black as night
silver blades silenced
gazing into the distance
in solemn stillness
metallic meditation

three empty chairs around an empty table

sometimes filled with food
filled with people
filled with life

but now just ghosts
relics of the
(whatever came before
whatever comes after)

in the moment
nothing more than a waste of hard plastic
and glossy green paint
fossil fuels drawn from deep within the earth
so much life destroyed
so three **** four-legged lifeless objects
can sit around a table
and share in the quiet nothingness

cat curled up asleep underneath
indifferent to the chairs' lack of conversation
indifferent to the fans' competing notions
of making the most of lifeless life
indifferent to everything
as only cats
and fans
and chairs
can be

door opened
door shut, then locked
first morning urges
body greets the dawn

toilet seat up
pants unzipped
waste tube carefully aimed
flow turned on

trickling stream
becomes rushed torrent
small splashes
leave no mark

on steep polished porcelain walls
water slowly turning
clear to yellow
light to dark

liquid waste
flushed down the drain
shows signs
of dehydration

advising body
drink more water
restart the cycle
of urination
Everybody pees!
