By tomorrow we'll be turned to sand
Just the outline of our out stretched hand

By tomorrow we'll be devoured by obsolete
Out of date and forgotten with no competition to compete

By tomorrow we'll be swimming in our hopes and dreams
Unaware, without a care, and spiraling down without a means

Don't bring tomorrow

(All italic words are a Synonyms for death)

The afterlife what do I think,
Dying isn't yet on my list,
The extinction of my flame within
When I pass will oblivion meet me,
Is it my ending
Is it paradise that waits for me,
Or is it release,
Will only silence meet my last breathe
When my last curtain call comes down
Will it be just like sleep,
I know my exit will soon come
And my demise waits for me,
The journey ends, the new one begins.

Sometimes desires can be cruel
Tugging you towards the blind alley
Mind is in conflict with the heart
Dragging you along the ground
Getting bruised all over by desire
And the heart somehow craves
To walk the path towards rejection
Living in the world of denial
The whole world turns a blind eye
Hurling down the path to oblivion
Bearing the brunt of collision
Waking up from stupor quite late

It was a clear shot to the chest
And I felt myself falling

Not in love with you
Not out

No
I felt myself falling
Into oblivion

The angel that fell,
The one bound in hell;
Burning in fires deep and dark.

Banished from heaven,
His sins they call seven;
He eats off their bones like a shark.

Liars and cheaters,
Thieves and deceivers;
They squirm as for hell they depart.

He breeds on their fears,
He laughs at their tears,
And squeezes all hope from their heart.

He owns all their souls,
Makes them walk over coals,
He tortures their spirit with his fork;

He whips open their skin,
While he burns up their kin,
And slaughters their faith just like pork.

With hate for a heart,
He plays well his part,
As he waits for a new light of day;

A day when he shall be free,
And roam the earth with glee,
While those who banished him shall pray.

But pray as they may,
For another Godly say,
No warmth shall break through the cold;

While innocents are slayed,
And daylight delayed,
And stories of hope sell like gold.
The wanderings of an empty mind...'An idle mind is a devil's workshop'.

"IT HURTS." You screamed, loud enough for anyone to know that you are indeed hurting.

"Hey, it's going to be okay." I say.

I am a liar, I am oblivious. I dont know if things would ever get better for you. I'm just a person who lives on the hope that tomorrow might bring. Sometimes, faith is all you need.

the saddest song you know plays slower than you remember
****** kittens, bruised dogs, or gaunt children flash across the screen
a celebrity looks at you with a pleading expression, but their eyes are empty
they tell you "for just ten dollars a month, you can make a difference"

then

you stand and get your credit card before picking up the phone
your eager fingers dial the number on the screen quickly
you give the operator all of your information
you finally slouch back in your chair, feeling immense relief

except

you never got your credit card
you never dialed the number
you never spoke to the operator
you just sat in your chair and continued to stare at the television

because

the commercials don't work
the advertisements don't work
humans choose oblivion over consciousness even when reality is right in front of their faces

People are so oblivious.
We don't notice
the seconds ticking by
or the one falling leaf
or breaking heart
or millions of teary eyes.
We don't notice
the feet shuffling by
or the words we can't hear.
We are oblivious
to love.
There is someone out there,
who,
like you,
is searching and waiting
for the one second
where the oblivion
stops.
