The moon draws an arc

through the lonely dreariness --

of my empty head.
Composition "Moon Viewing Music" (2018, Peter Garland), for three gongs, part 4 "As I look at the moon / my mind goes roaming / till I live again / the autumn that I / knew long ago" (tanka by Saigyo, 1118-1190, translated by Burton Watson), performed in the Organpark on four gongs by Pepe Garcia on February 8th, 2025

The mist rests gently upon the water’s surface,
where the fireflies flash like sets of blinking eyes
Long leaves of willow hang down, motionless
as an owl cries above, illuminated by the moon

I guess I'll love you like the sun,
Despite so many things it could've won.
It chose to give its light to the moon,
Hoping, one day, they'll meet soon.
I guess I'll love you like the moon,
Who saw the Earth as a boon,
And circled endlessly round it,
Despite knowing the hearts it had lit.
I guess I'll love you like the Earth,
Who revolved around the sun despite knowing its worth.
Despite the effort and longing it took,
It believed that one day, the sun will look.
But destiny didn’t let
The day come when the sun and moon met.
Destiny couldn’t accept
The reason It followed the Earth—
The depth.
And destiny was too shook,
To let the sun even look.
For us, what if destiny isn’t ready?
Will you still write with me, our own medley?
Celestial orbits of love, Eclipsed by fate is the silent choreography of the universe, where bodies of light chase one another in an endless waltz, bound by gravity yet separated by fate. The sun, a blazing heart of fire, gives its warmth freely, knowing it may never feel the embrace of the moon, who only glows in its reflection. The Earth, caught in this cosmic longing, turns tirelessly, drawn to the sun yet captivated by the moon’s quiet pull. They move in harmony, yet destiny ensures they remain just out of reach—forever near, forever apart. It is a love story written in the stars, where longing outlives time, and distance becomes the poetry of the heavens. ✨🌙🔥
Her gaze is all moonbeams
Sweet as sweet can be
It cruises Exotic
and heavenly
Our Loves roses dreams

Reynaldo Casison
And while the moon is luminous
Fine and divine
As a sweet goddess
With crescent hips
That waltz to illuminate
The heavenly lakes
and exotic vineyards

The sunflower sun rises
The moon salsas to daydream
The diamond stars
Bow to lounge
WithIn,
The velvet Caress of roses
Exquisite iris majesties

And the luminous moon
Is much more
than its wax and wane
It can be the soothe of rain
Romance of champagne

It can even be rare honey
Between evening star gazes

Our love
The
Pouring
Of moonlight
With its fine wine
WithIn
The shy and romantic
Vineyards of our Soul
Oneness of candles sighs

Reynaldo Casison
My love shall be the moonlight
         WithIn the vineyard
             Of Her

She shall have no need for fur
           Only
               Our love

Her exotic silhouette
               a rose cabaret
    Her beauty a Sultry dove
           Cool with the honey wings
               Of her love
            The sweet way
                  Like the evening rain
                      She sings
                 Nectar of heavenly bloom
                      WithIn
               Still and swaying flowers
                     Upon
                    the exotic Hem
            of mellow lakeshore
             And  To love like sunflowers
                    And irises
                   Is to sweetly adore

          No matter how many lovers
               You have ever loved
You can never simply be a rose *****
            And you can always be
               a moonlit romantic shore
              To waltz the salsa
                  The moonlight is natural
                       With its loving
                      And surreal chores

                     Luminous trees
                Carefree
                     as they
                    And we long to be
               Diamond stars
                   Sparkle
                 Sparkle
                Sparkle
                   WithIn loving evenings
                  Waves of being
             Sparkle Sparkle Sparkle
                While silly and pretty geese
              Waltz like bohemian ballerinas
                  And Sparkle
                        Sparkle
                    Sparkle
           Upon moonlit lake shimmers
                Perhaps and absolutely
                All that Shimmers
                Can love beyond diamonds

            Reynaldo Casison
Like sweet warm roses
With their exquisite poses
You sway with candles
of golden solitudes

You that sweetly caresses everybody
Like moonlight and rain
Even the clouds are a luminous blur
WithIn the golden rose fur
Of midnight moons
You may be miles away
Yet our love is intimate
And sweet as our own
tears laughter and sighs
And is to be cherished
WithIn
Like Moon WithIn Evening skies
And I love the exotic romance
Of your beauty
The heavenly way
It sways

Spring is a cool cabaret
Of salsa evening fireflies
That with shimmers
Of nostalgia and present crescents
waltz with wistful illuminations

The rose golden vineyards sway
For their loves diamond stillness
Moonlight and the honey breeze
Entwine the voluptuous vines
like kindred lovers
And
With everything else
We let it all go
For our love to caress
with the simply sublime

Reynaldo Casison
They waltz heavenly within
Mango Moonkissed vines
Simply sublime
Their hems honey waves
To rose golden shores
And gaze at the exotic cherry blossoms
Of midnights candles stars
Intimate and afar

Dear love sigh to us more than roses
Mellow and sweet
as midnight sunflowers dream
For I am one in love
with fine wine women
and
The Vineyard stars

Reynaldo Casison
And their gaze waltzes
Exquisitely like moonlit
Hips of Bohemian women
That Salsas and lounge
Upon a luminous shore of love,

Soothing bonfires
Beside honey blossoming coves

Reynaldo Casison
Today’s full moon is so beautiful.
But I don’t enjoy watching the moon alone.
I want to watch it with you.

Though now, I don’t even want to watch the moon anymore.
I just want to watch you,
because you are even more beautiful.
