The biggest smile
Is the biggest wall
Built to hide
That is all
Darkness swirling
Deep in their skull
Monster whirling
Threwout that dull
Space where there used to be
A genuine smile
That made people happy to see
But now that space is all black
That smile is a mask
One that makes the owner turn back
To see what they used to be
And be sad to think
They'll never go and return
To that old happy smile
That could burn
A spark of happiness in everyone's face

But now they need that happiness
To help them chase
The monster thats creeping
Out of their house
To help get it out
To help round it about
To remove it from their old happy place
Where now they feel scared
Threatened,and wasted

Pay attention to those
Whose attention is drawn
To the big happy smile
That may be a mask thrown on
The Taste
The Desire
The Sexuality
    Am I amusing you?

The Craving
The Lusting
Am I the woman you visualized?

Did you come to me
To fulfill your Foolish Trickeries,
your Fantasies,
To be performed before your eyes?

Did you ever think
That I'm going to be
exactly what you want me to be ---
   A Burning Heat
   A Soulless Lustful Treat

Tell me ---
    Does your heart really beat?

And if that heart reveals your truth
Like a mirror that reveals the truth
Will you ever wonder ---
Do you really have a heart?

I wished you came to see
My Truth,
My Purity,
That's here inside my heart

But it's just not what you seek from me..

Betrothed to the beast,
but "warned tirelessly."
Still, she cared for the monster
he was made out to be.
With a fear filling façade he repels those
with tongues like pitchforks
and words of cleansing fire

She would tend to the wounds inflicted
upon his disfigured face, and in his arms
she was shielded and safe,
working to pry apart the scaly armor
burnt into his blackened skin.

Yet over time as his skin began to soften
so did she sharpen a hidden blade,
and one fateful night
She stabbed down deep
into his bare back
sadistically watching as he bled unrelentingly.
She fished 'round his oozing chest
and pulled out a prized heart to present.

And so she returned to the  very sooth sayers
who warned her covered in red
as a monster whos enchanting mask
proved far more fatal and grotesque
than the beast she did betray.
The hardest exteriors hide the softest hearts, and the prettiest faces have the deadliest intentions , so beware.

I shift and I twist
And my thoughts twist away
And I shift to someone different
When I'm in front of you.

I shift and I twist
And my words twist away
And I twist to someone different
When you ask me why.

You shift and you twist
And your thoughts twist away
And I know you shift to someone else
When you're in front of me.

You shift and you twist
And your words twist away
And I smile through my mask
At the mask you show me
And I don't ask why.
"Everyone wears a mask," she says
And I think, "We'll be friends alright"

White mask covering your face
A ***** sin you won't erase
It makes everyone think you're clean like a princess
Pretty innocent face in the first place

In lieu of being fake, I don a glass mask.
Observed, a brittle basket case full of sass
blinded by the rays in which we bask.
A riddle whose answer you need not ask
because I am already clasped behind your back.
That itching thought
of which is oft ignored; through a mind it may bore and crack.
If judged so, daft recognizes daft,
realizes life lays down sordid tracks.
When elegance is noticed be appreciative of the act.

Wings spread; flappable;
something else now, as a matter of fact.

people mold their masks out of fear,
fear of rejection in certain groups of friends

be yourself or be someone else
Her hands trembled as she reached for what
lie in front of her,
a sight she hadn’t grown fond of.

A face,
nearly scarred from the time it
laid in the hands of another.

Poorly treated once before,
unfortunately all to familiar with the rough touch of a lover.

One who is supposed to guard
and protect you,
is soon the one to turn
and beat you to the ground.

A fear she had kept hidden inside,
not wanting anyone to know the truth
behind her brown eyes.
Glazed over
and protected by a thick black line,
to make her feel pretty.
Even though with one swift move,
he made her feel like the ugliest
person to breathe in the oxygen
that he share.

And soon she knew,
that in her hands lie a mirror

and the face she seeks,

was her very own;
staring back at her.
we all have secrets, let me share one.
