i come home crying
tears slither down my cheeks
i am simply ugly
for my nose is too big, horribly wide and contorted
my eyes are too small, beads of obsidian on my pale face
and my chapped lips are thin like crushed scribbled paper
my forehead is too big, i could write all of this down on it if i wanted to
why must i seek validation from those who will never respect me, even in my purest form
but my purity is not good enough
society gazes upon me with it's large luminous eyes
i am sorry that my hair is not straight enough
or i am flat
and when i look in the mirror my reflection cries, its hands reaching out to me through the fractured glass
yet why must i weep
beauty is in everything,
in the smoldering fire which dimly lights my cold room, sending marmalade sparks across the floor,
in the grimey walls, grout growing in the cracks and spray paint slowly crackling off,
in the failed paintings, where the splotches of cobalt and splashed of marigold are too thick,
in the cheap foundation i slather across my face,
in the maths equations my brain cannot contemplate,
and even in me,
there is beauty
year nine is so depressing oml

A Camel is unaware
of the biggest mamal,
Ant can't glean,
the elephant's sheen.

I am engrossed in my own,
Thinking of the unknown.
You disclosed your essence,
Uncovering your magnificence

I am lost,
my wisdom had been
crossed.
But you came in my sight,
revealing your mighty light.

For my Guru Mahant swami Maharaj
she said
that i manage
to reduce
the nicest moments
into their
most negative
aspects
my eyes wandered
as she spoke
falling upon
an extravagant
burst of
the sun's rays
exploding through
the rolls
of pearly cloud
colouring the sky
with blooming petals
of pinks
and oranges
haloed by yellows
and creams
a sight
to marvel at
perhaps
but without
the imperfection
of that
darkened shroud
this light
would not
be mixed
into such
artistic palettes
and
the magnificence
of the scene
would go
unnoticed

His command of color
Most magnificent

He transformed the pain
Of his tormented life
Into ecstatic beauty

Pain is easy to portray
But to use your
Passion and pain
To portray the ecstasy and joy
And magnificence of our world

No one had ever done it before

Perhaps no one will again

As I wrestle with the paradox
Of embracing my magnificence
While remaining humble
I remind myself
I am but the empty vessel
Ready to be filled
With the splendor of the divine
I always find if I start taking credit for my victories, I get dropped right back to my empty struggling self!

If Butterflies could speak,
Would we hear your lullaby?
A tale of a mountain peak,
And roses tumbling from the sky...

If Heaven were a sound,
Would we hear your voice?
Singing out aloud,
Dancing, as we rejoice...

If Angels were to walk this ground,
Would we get to see your face?
Would we finally be found?
To be Blessed with your embrace...

A magnificent glow,
As we Light up the Earth.
Creating a state of flow,
As your presence brings a rebirth...

We are waiting for you,
So we may fall into your love.
We are craving you,
So we may soar up above...

What's Amaranthine?
Those beautifully painted skies
blended with shades of pink, blue and purple
or your star like eyes
that dazzle at the gaze of mine.
What's Amaranthine?
The deep blue ocean blessed with marine salt
or your aesthetic and revered soul blessed with no faults.
What's amaranthine?
the splendor and magnificence of nature embellished with the flowers of spring, summer and winter
or your serenity,
which is as calm as a summer sea.
What's Amaranthine?
The immortal and unfading vigor of the universe
or the heart marred with scars,
craving for the undying and unconditional love of yours.
I see the magnificence of nature in him.
She's watching me
but she's never said a word
I know not her face
her touch
her aroma
I've only seen her eyes,
in the stars
for years
and I'll never know why,
her beauty claims the heavens
why,
her light cures the blind
and robs sight from the foolish
indeed,
I've stared too long
transfixed and fiendish, for just a taste
I would make love to her even if she has no body
I would kiss her splendor with my words
caress her aches with fragrant whispers
charm the bones of her imagination with tender glances
and consummate our bonding with admonitions of love.

I need no more than words
to know she loves me,
if she would but speak
yet she only stares...
Her smile is the constellations, I know
and her breath is the sigh of the sun
her arms are the rings of Saturn
and her ******* the moons of Jupiter
yet, I am but a man
I cannot make love to these things
so I pen this yearning,
bold
true...
Sitting under her, the Cosmos,
with passion, I enjoy the view.
This is one of those poems that I wasn't sure was coming.
It started out a little slow, searching, but I found the rhythm and I'm enjoying the re-reads.

I'm trying to avoid those gushing poem-notes so short and sweet this time.

Enjoy!

Patterned patents of black and white,
Stripes in vertical lines, swirls encircled
One point view and paths within a maze
Weary of single sided mirrored reality?

Look through my eyes, see elongated pupil
Let me be your mirror of a surreal reality
Where birds squint and fleet, feel and squeeze
Catch the breath and inhale the beauty

See the colored landscape of the universe
Walk on the aisles lighted with magnificence
Float in intermittent dimensional zones
Touch the peace within the chaotic world

For there was a time my mind and logic raced
Crazed with fear and delusional love cages
Fade in the wonder, bounce to enlightment
Pounce to freedom, be the wave of the essence
See the beauty in all, feel the love in everything. Thats freedom and it's magnificent. It's superb for I have felt, smelt, seen and touched it's essence.
