I know how much you love my blonde hair
that's why I cut it

6 inches gone
along with the memories of us
the toxicity of me

not only did I cut my hair short but I dyed it dark
so that there is no possible trace of blonde
no trace of you

maybe it'll help you accept what happened between us
maybe it'll help you move on from me faster
maybe
maybe
maybe

it's just hair.

guy with a jet black hair
like the sky without the moon
your beauty a flare
turned the night not a gloom

it fall in waves around him
floating me in romantization
i wish it was just his hair
but something else gravitated me

his eyes
even the cosmos is incomparable
even the word "beauty" cannot suffice
for he was much more

to the guy with the jet black hair
you melt me with your chocolate stare
ive loved you for a long time now
you deserve a "yes" no doubt

Why are we still here?
Just to paint others hair?

His hair so rich and thick
Spiraling upward higher and higher
Voluminous in appearance
Bold in its statement

Copious curls demanding attention
Natural, beautiful and free flowing
Standing tall to whomever it encounters
Sunlight beaming into its brown hue

It tells a story of bloodline and culture
Narrates history, prejudice, acceptance
Perseverant by nature
Resilient against criticism

I worship his hair from a distance
Yearning to feel it in between my fingers
Kiss his strands one by one
Inhale its scent like aromatherapy

look at you
with your ocean colored eyes,
sun kissed cheeks,
and coffee bean colored hair

you look as if
you were painted by

Norman ******* Rockwell himself

Dear Little Girl,

Right now, you just stare
At the ceiling, at the wall,
Wondering if your hair
Will ever look pretty at all
Will it ever one day be tame?
I think you’ll be happy to know
That the bigger you grow
It’ll be more beautiful
But look exactly the same
This one’s about self acceptance and growth, featuring one of my all time biggest insecurities—my hair

Maybe it's lust or
maybe it's her pheromones-
All I know is that when
I bury my head
into her velvet locks,
time seems to stop
and I must worship
this goddess beside me.

You can let your afro flourish
Straighten it to ease the effort
Curl it or cut it
Your hair is the frame that surrounds your beauty
It is the majestic crown you were born with
It allows your beauty to spellbind us
Through it your artistry is recognised
And your personality is advertised
Hair is...
