You made me feel everything 'til it's gone
Now I'm left alone undone.

You had my heart captured and broken
Then it turned out I was just one of your many tokens.

no one can sleep on a broken heart,
the pieces will pop your lungs
and flood your chest with regret.
no one stays up just to watch the stars,
they stay up to find themselves in the sky
(self centered *******, every one).
maybe i’m just too good at being bad,
But good is hard to find and far away
bad at love and here to stay.

i was sitting in the living room
with my cat, mindlessly watching tv

when a bird crashed into my window
at first i didn’t know what the sound was
until i walked over and saw a small bird
bleeding from its beak, struggling to breathe

i panicked, and started to cry
i didn’t want it to die
but i didn’t know if i could save it

in a minute, i searched online
through a few pages what to do
if it was possible
how to hold it
where to put it

i kept crying

i grabbed a few cloths from a drawer
a large stove ***

i went outside
the bird opening and closing his beak
struggling to breathe
or trying to call for help
without any sound

i grabbed him from his sides
and put him into the large ***
full of cloth
i made sure he was still upright
still responsive

i kept crying
but i told him he’d be alright

other birds in the trees cried out

i went inside
to grab another cloth
but when i returned he had rolled around
onto his back
and died

i pet the soft fur on his breast
felt it go cold

i started sobbing uncontrollably

my brother came home
found me kneeled overe, in tears
he yelled “it’s just a bird! throw it away!”
“what an idiot.”

i couldn’t stop crying

my mother came home
said “oh poor thing” to me
and to the bird

with an ice cream scoop
i dug at the dirt in the yard
wide enough, deep enough
for my little bird

i buried it amongst colorful leaves
encircled it with pebbles
and said a prayer

then i went upstairs
and cried myself to sleep

She sat in the car staring at him
Waiting for him to drive in.
She wasn't expecting anything.
She hadn't even imagined her first visit.
She just stood there watching.
Letting the idea settle in.

When he opened the door and let her in.
She could not believe her eyes.
It was a beautiful house.
Empty beautiful house.
He said it was her home.
That she could make it a home.
She felt like it was her kind of home.

She could already see herself there.
Waking up each morning to the quiet.
To the peace and comfort of the country.
To the beautiful house and compound.
Her friends and family would visit here.

He showed her the children's bedrooms.
She could already hear them call.
Or cry but mainly laugh.
She could see her touch all over.
It was a home she could be proud of.

A home of her own.

If two beat in my chest,
I will give even that one to her,
For her passion of breaking my heart.
My HP Poem #1560

Unicorn sprinkles,
Daffodils jam,
A little star's twinkle
And some dragon ham.

Some emerald clovers,
A pint of fairy dust,
A handful of stover
And some canned gust.

Teardrops of a Selkie,
Well shaken, not stirred,
The horseshoe of a kelpie,
Late Iron Age sherds.

Some fizzy witchcraft,
One bottle or two,
And maybe a draught
Of love potion too.
Someone challenged me to add my shopping list in here and to have it called a poem. I think they had no idea what they were asking of me, so... here is my shopping list. Enjoy!
