My life isn't the most fascinating but I live it

I don't dress the cutest but I wear what I wear with confidence

I'm not rich but I'm grateful for what I have

I fight with my family sometimes but I know I'm just lucky to have a family

My life isn't the best nor the worst but its okay and I love it....well most of the time

my heart skips a beat
when I see a little
yellow lightning
by the grinning avatar
which is me

my heart double flips
when I see a little
blood red heart
with little numbers
and I weep

the grays and blacks
ashes and shades
shadows in plain
bars and panes
the world they make

a world of dead links
and of
little yellow lightnings
and blood red hearts
and again
I weep..
Thank You hellopoetry for being my world..

Life is not a game, the prize has no name.
I am no king, nor are you a queen.
But we all are something else between.
Call the cards high and lows
Isn't this how our life story goes?
Calling life a game, like blackjack or poker.
Will never title you, except a joker.
Winning is in the eye of the beholder and becomes a lot less as we become older.
Leave all your games, pieces behind.
Then follow your heart, to a open mind.

I want to thank you-

for picking up the pieces of my broken soul
for repairing the damage others have done before you
for showing me what it's like to be in love

I met you in a place
Where I hid my sorrows
While searching for the rain-
the other half of my soul

You were like a sun to me
Yet you helped me find the rain

And now I am dancing in the rain
I still remember you
But I have no choice but to smile
and look at you in my silence
Yes, I am so grateful
and I won't forget the times
that the sun shone on me
and gave me hope

Now I have the rain
But the memories
of a beautiful friendship-
           the flower and the sun
will be here forever
in one corner of my mind

Yes, I have the rain
And I love the rain
But I won't forget that
Once upon a time
The sun helped me find the rain.
Once upon a time...

I think every night of you, my sweet
the one we'll always remember,
you will never know, what you have proved
and to you i am so grateful.

the high degree day, is what i think of,
the day we heard you had left us.
but not behind. You left to save another
some one needed your smile, your giggle.

though i did not know your favourite film or favourite colour,
your smile impacted my day,
and well, if i believe in that smile
I believe we could have been close.

So don't worry my dear, when i think of you, i shall smile.
just like we did when we passed each other during our days.
you are One of a Kind and you left your mark
And for that daily smile, my sweet. I am grateful.

We take things for granted.
Everyone tries to appreciate things more.
Money, life, family.
But what about the simple beauty of a sunset?
The sun is appreciated when it arrives
after the rain is laid on the earth.
Yet,
no one ever says thank you for a beautiful sunset.
The soft colors all melting into each other.
The sun has gifted us another day,
but you do not thank it at the end.
Next time you are watching the sunset--
on the beach,
in the office,
from your kitchen window.
Do not be sad because the day
has come to an end.
Just whisper thank you.
These basic words
hold a world of meaning.
Thank the sun for setting.
Do not take it for granted,
for one day,
it will all be gone.
Thank the sunset.

I spoke to a woman
Who had knocked on death's door,
Reminding me not to take
Walking for granted anymore.
I love a run in nature,
Zipping by the trees.
Scaring away the lizards;
No discomfort in my knees.
My very own mother herself
Has looked death in the eye;
What other lessons can I learn
Through life, the more I cry?
