“Remember our cigarettes & the oil rigs. City lights, and drunken nights.
Remember the scabbed lips and 1:00am road trips. Races and white long sleeves.  Christmas Eve burn outs, empty parking lot makouts. Piggy back rides, and best friends forever. Remember the kissing and love making. Shirtless & in love, punches in the face, followed with forgiveness. Unfairness and regret. How I see you and seem not to forget.“

they always say
'go out
meet new people
you'll fall
in love again
when you
forget them'

but they
never tell you
how to forget them

you tried to hurt me
with poisonous tears.
you threw at me
your bravest fears,
unleashing your demons
on my bare shoulders
to **** my soul
with their tar black boulders.
-pieces from your spirit-
you made my worlds
and my words
bleed,
perfectly playing your villainous part,
you can't believe
i still make
-and breathe-
art.
but darling,
did you forget
i had a spiked heart?

You're doing great
keeping yourself occupied these days

trying to draw that fraud , happy expression

trying to utter those white lies

trying to stand on a rusted pedestal .

You're doing great love .

But , you forgot to hide something so easily deciphered ;

your eyes

they still don't know how to lie .

The things we would wish to forget become our recurring nightmares, for often they are attached to people we would never choose to forget.
How can you lose only the nightmare when your heart cant forget how good it once felt?
You cant keep only the good. Every lost love comes with a mix of fondness and regret.
I posted "Coincidental" a while ago.... today my nightmare revisits

So much for them;
I'll forget them
So much for me;
I'll forget me
Forget. In these trying times I find it hard to keep everything in. By forgetting my problems I forget myself. By forgetting others I forget myself. I forget.

Why can't we forget
How the weeds grew in our yard
The ones we  removed

Drunk words
Sober thoughts
I take one more
***** shot
Just to make sure
I will forget you

I lay down
I give in
I feel your touch
On my skin
I know
It is wrong
Cause you mean
Nothing to me
I’m looking for your face in the crowd
It always seems like I saw you
I cherish the memories and my dreams
The only things left me by you.

I follow your voice inside my head
It judges, it laughs, it whispers
The things I forgave
But need to forget
In order to take my life back
From you.
