An untouched forest
Oh so grand
Hints of dirt fragranced by rain
Full of crystal blue rivers that relaxes anyone that gets near to see them flow
Golden specks of morning flowers scattered within the vibrant green forest.
Combined they create the depth of your eyes that I find myself lost in so often.
Not sure where I was going with this. But here it is.

Watch along the horizon line
Past the trees and you will find

Through the skies being installed
Every high and every fall

Cloaked until again recalled
Nature once again redrawn

Clear for all who look to see
Our collective mother’s ECG

i never felt so much
healing

until today
i took a walk in the forest
and came out
taller than the trees
Claire Mar 2020
today the raindrops are sharp,
fine needles injecting novocaine
into the back of my exposed skin,
my breath heavy
from running up the incline
as fast
as
i
can
to see if a wish came true.

and i reach the clearing.
gingerly i step onto a new bed
of yellow-green moss —
soft, springy, cushioning me
from what lies beneath —
and i stoop down,
let my fingertips feel
the gentleness within each tiny leaf
that absorbs the tears dripping down.

and so we finally meet again.
despite the ages that have passed
i still remember your voice
and its mirthful tones
telling me you wished to be reborn
as none other than moss
on the forest floor.

Forest never forgot.

Those that stayed too long,
warned by the land.

And when they entered
again, unheeding --

Forest never forgave.
Inspired by Lois Lowry's novel "Messenger", part of the Giver series.

Feeling - really emotionally
And filling
phrases
From solid, continuous rings
Consistent - Chain...
He can be saved
A ship destined to sink.
Agent Sea of the massive desert,
Build a forest on the steppe...

My feeling disappears in the chain,
You'll see you until...

Mist of eager green
Tiny understory leaves
Signal life's return.
I always love the stage of growth where all the trees are still black and leafless but the tiny undergrowth shrubs have just started putting out their first leaves and the green hangs like a fine mist around the base of the trees in the forest.  💕🌱🌱🌱💕
