Catching a fever
That feels like your embrace
Like a loser
Who doesn't bother finding a cure
Because I'm contracted
All my sicknesses to a healer
Who chose to be away
Forever in my dreams
Vivid; chaotic.
Hallucinations cloud my
perception of truth.
I question my subconscious
of its own insanity.

Call out
to the muses
for I have lost
my inspiration
to the sickness
that has boiled my
body feverish
and my mind
numb

I wish I could soak my mind
In goddess blood all day
Bathed in the passion of creation
Fever dreams keeping me from sleep,
Instead of this tired gray matter
Building complex worlds
And blossoming people
And rich magic
There must always be magic
In my fever dream worlds.

last night on the drive home a street sign waved hello.
the heat has come like a fever
it fries the nightlines in a humid soup
it drys your throat and chokes your eyeballs
oh **** it burns the tiny cuts in your sweaty hands
you've a need to break a melon and drink.
you've a need to roast sugars and tell tall tales of distant frights.
what real horrors lurk there
beneath the surface like smoke?
a dream, a fever, a skittering nightmare
it will come it will pass and we will all freeze.

When your body temperature so high you're burning a hole onto your bed,
but still shaking because cold storms constantly crawl down your whole being.
Hugging yourself trying to hold everything together,
But every single bone hurts,
like you've been running a city marathon.
My throat dry and swollen,
failing as I try to speak to myself.
I reach for a glass of water,
powerless I moan and tears which seem so cold and pleasant run down my face,
as I realize I'm all alone,
always been, always will.
With all that's left from me,
I try to catch the big red pill on my table,
it hurts while sliding down my throat,
I close my eyes and fade
away..

You failed
not waterproof
you allowed water
to fall into
feet bottom skin

Lucky we had
enough of you
we juggled you
in the leaky shoes
that were
no good either

Next time
you’ll be worn
inside trek shoes
so that
you wouldn’t have to
taste the marshy
stink of feet bottom
the premonition
of possible fever
Inspired by the conditions of my cousin's socks on a 30km, rainy mountain trek

Occultist fires, sharp toothed saw
You rub your eyes til I go blind
I failed the grade, unfamiliarly

The black goat came to stay,
In this place no one dared to witness

I stood on both sides of that old barn door
This is my one move to you,
This is violence, my own owed servitude

Blank check devotion
Black eyes gleaming with rage
Total darkness of a well

Tearing down what light had built
In fevered dreams of pure crimson silk

Forget this admission
It serves but one

Never come back, you
Run run run

the latitudes of freedom are not hard to measure --
though they can be difficult to achieve.
there are limited means, and a day --
dashed by uncooperative weather, the wind
outside raging like some mythical beast --
blowing the snow sideways, piling the drifts.
and so the day unfolds in the usual way,
and the night -- the foreseen sleep interrupted,
as it has been for years, and the road ahead --
while invisible still -- promises more of the same.
