The streets are talking
but you're too dumb to listen
every sidewalk has a story
but not all of them are written
like that guy begging outside Walgreens
he was once an army lieutenant until
he was ******* over by mental disease
she used to be a doctor,
now she always works nights
letting people inside for money for her kids
so don't judge anybody on sight
Never judge what you don't know

Today, I am among the half-dead again
Wandering the halls with a gaze that could disintegrate the sun
The world around me is painted in an elephant grey
But this safari feels empty and yet so congested
With a smile that’s been sloppily and gruelingly painted on,
I face the challenges of everyday life once more

Half of me is tuned in to the things around me,
Scribbling words and deciphering the text at a snail’s pace
But the other half is still dreaming,
Waging war against the strongest mages of our time
Or drowning among a school of clownfish
Either way I’m not here and I’m begging to be free
Today, I am among the half-dead again

I imagine that someday a dragon will take me away
This may simply be my dreaming side taking over again
But if I said it could burn away all my worries,
Wouldn’t you wish for that as well?
I would hop onto its scaly back and point towards the sky,
Chanting as if I had been rehearsing for this moment,
“Anywhere is fine, as long as it’s not here”

But until then, I am drenched in my own rain
And the smile has run off with it, off to somewhere far away
Today, I am among the half-dead again
With weights tightly chained to my fingers
I’m dragging my thoughts along with my spirit

I’m a little bit tired but maybe if I wait, tomorrow will be a much better day
The air here is saturated with yawns and negativity.

I wrote this about a week ago. I would like feedback on this please!! I'm going to send this in to a yearly poetry book at my school after I do revisions, so please tell me what I can improve on!

I find Nirvana in the smallest things,
in the laughter of strangers,
in the perfect edges of morning frost,
in the duvet curled protecting my toes,
in the silence and loneliness of night
and in the chatter of a city street.

I find Nirvana in the hope of things,
in the scent of the sea,
in the tale of far away lands,
in the pictures of distant places,
in the eyes of someone new
and the stories they have to tell.

I find Nirvana in the love for people,
in their parting words on a long trip,
in the bond they make with each other,
in the fortress that is family,
in the affection shown to strangers
and loved ones alike.

I find Nirvana wherever I search,
It is peace and happiness
tranquility and love,
It is in laughter and music
landscapes and faces,
Mostly, it is too often left behind.
Sharp eyes watching
from side to side
Each move, blood arises
Wrong word, pulls the trigger.
Water's boiling inside the freezer
Open the door, molten lava.
Look up high, see the stars
coming down with wrath and fury.

Wishing it to rain
Of flaming arrows
Hiding beneath the shell
Of a fossilized snail.
Whisper a name
to a quiet breeze
And finally goes on

**Never to be seen.
Explains what I feel at the moment.

they say the earth
is made of elements
a whole table of them
actually
but how many times
do we
touch promethium
in our lives?
for everyday chemistry
between you and me
we need
a new table
one that starts with Hope
(H)
then helping
(He)
then Lending
(L)
on and on
balancing
the equations of daily life
until we reach eqilibrium
ok, chem nerd moment i had like twenty of these new elements laid out but then... it became an endeavor that was taking more time than i had patience for

sorry I haven't written lately I haven't been my best
quite frankly I've got a lot on my chest
so allow me to air all of this out
I hate bottling up my problems and lashing out.

My laptops broken, and it's an expensive Fix
that doesn't sound like much but a lot of my creative works, poems stories and other things are trapped on it

My mom quit her job so now she's jobless,
she worked for attorneys she liked once but her co-workers gossiped and prodded into her life more than snitch in a mafia outfit

My sister and I haven't been speaking lately all because I made a simple mistake involving a baked pastry, I said I was sorry but she won't accept it
so until she's out of her petty thinking mindset all communications I'm rejecting

along with all this I haven't had much inspiration to run with I've been dry for awhile using throwaway concepts that really don't fit my style so I took a collaboration kick and then a break for awhile

there once was a mystic
known worldwide
who delighted in the blood and pain
and suffering brought mirth to his eyes

heartbreak gave him searing excitement
stress gave him nothing but smiles
he'd rather watch an be rortured by an iron maiden
than watch someone smile for a moment

yes he was sickening, deplorable even
but yet he resides in everyone breathin
wait... what? There's a twisted mystic in all of us,
yes, he lives and breathes in all beings

he arises when the lust for revenge overcomes our common sense

If only i can think of
something else.
But the truth is
that accidentally
i think of you everyday.

*Don't worry i just do it accidentally

So they say,
the eve of the year last ends
and the year starts anew.
A new day.
A new day.
A new day!

Lets be clear,
it's just a day, like any other day.
Dawning like yesterday.
Ceasing and dawning.
Ceasing and dawning.
Again and again...

The truth is,
it's all up to you.
Make the day.
Each day.
Every day.
Your day.
When my friends ask
about you
I tell them
that I met you today
My friends marvel at this
But to me
You are a new
beginning
every day

There is no end in such love
Nothing is old here
We age
but our spirit remains the same
and we become
the part of eternal sky
