Wore a dress today.
They told me I looked beautiful
In those colors and flowers,
Matching my messy hair.

Why...?
Should I change who I am?
Am I not beautiful when I wear,
Whatever I wear,
What my heart tells me,
My own way?

Delicate detailed and divine.
Simple sophisticated **** and sublime.

A dress.
Abnormal in class.
The way she made it shine.
But it was not the dress but her.
That stole my heart of thoughts.
Broken and repaired.
For that day I saw her all.
I've always seen beneath the surface.
But this dress it has found a purpose.
In this moment.
She sees what I see.
In this moment.
I'll set you free.
The way you do me.

no. i say,

and it is my body that screams,
like a child at the super market begging
for a toy. it is my body that aches.

it aches to feel the soft fabric against my skin.
it aches to feel free. to dance in the wind,
the smooth silk flowing behind me in the wind.

it is my hand that feels it's smooth texture.
my eyes that witness it's intricate embroidery.
my mouth that goes dry at my desire to feel free,
and my body that is forced to walk away.

to move onto the men's section.
after all, according to my mother,
its just a phase.

HER
Her love was a seamless desire to love and be loved,It loved her hips and thighs but it also loved the men it attracted.

caked with wet empty dread
gnawing for moist marrow

i see white lies in your eyes boy (child)          clown with lobotomy ice picks
driven through (dripping)

he screams at me (crawling on ceiling)
the grand cosmic joke
no one's laughing (head turns)
ugly dead frozen little boy girl *****
(who is really the specimen)

i **** it (her) {him} [me]
raw till no longer can hear death rattle
raw sour note (bleeding)
bone chips

saw you eat me in my dreams
fried raw and ******
(my liver and onions get you drunk)

pounding some incessant f note
on **** little black dress keys
till dust till dusk till we do part

silly tell tale heart
only haven't buried me yet

I put on my dress and smooth the creases under my eyes.
It just falls right, falls right on the curves of my hips
And hides the shadows between this rib caged heart.
For that moment, it reminds me less of myself
And more of you.

I could sit here and write you a thousand poems
Millions of letters thrown across a page
In attempts for you to understand
That I'm truly and undoubtedly
In love with you.
And I know with all my heart
That you love her.
It kills me inside to listen
You trip up on your words with laughter
Because just thinking about her
Causes you to lose yourself in thought.
You scrunch up your nose a little
And a smile toys at the edge of your mouth
As your fingers twist at your clothes or hair
Usually you sigh slightly leaning forward looking off
And I watch you fall for her more and more each day.
You're beautiful when you're in love.
I just wish you had worn that dress for me to admire
Maybe then I wouldn't feel so bad about doing it anyways.
