Dawn* told a story,
I listened.

A story of a new found love,

Of the *Autumn
leaves,
a story I received.

Dusk sang a song,
I sang along.

A song of sorrow,

Of the Spring rain,
a song I sang.

Midday performed a play,
I watched.

A play of worn out emotions,

Of the Summer days,
the emotion stays.

Midnight wrote a poem,
I slept.

A poem of nothing,

Of Winter winds,
nothing was written.

If day is life
And night is death-
Then what is dawn or dusk?
The death of death will dawn,
But life goes on and on
Phoolmatee Dubay Oct 2015
I am neither in the dark nor am I in the light
Just in limbo
It may be at dusk or at dawn
The moment where I am at is the moment that exist
Words are few to come by
With so little to say
But so much that is unsaid
I wonder when will be that day

Sleepy head, you've gone far too long without a wink of sleep

How you've managed to stay alive for this long, it's a secret I can't keep

Sleepy head, pay no mind to those silly dreams

Or else you'll start to fall apart at the seams

Sleepy head, a brave and guilty fool

Stop diving into the deep end of  the pool

Sleepy head, that bottle of Jäger was a mistake

Indifference is something you can't fake

Sleepy head, lock your heart and swallow the key

Secretly crying so hard that you can't see

Sleepy head, it's time to sleep and move on

Far too friendly with the soft glow of dawn

Sunday Morning means being able to walk in the middle of the road with less chances of dying.
If not for the few people standing on the sidewalk, I might have danced.
I whispered spells to wet pavements and bathed in the warmth of the street lights.
The puddles of water were my mirrors, set to reflect the crying sky.
I conquer the streets while everybody sleeps
Until the sun hangs whole, chasing away the pink dawn lights.

The sun undresses its silky rays
before the blushing earth.

The earth gazes,
her sapphire eyes soak in
the glimmering shot of dawn. The moon
hide away, curving against
the hangnail of light. Stars
scintillate their last dust of evening.

“You always act like you’ve never seen me before.”
The sun removes another layer.
“Like each time is too good to be true. ”

Spinning, the earth grows dizzy. “You are the one who
abandons me in the dark.”

Above the horizon, the sun smiles.
“Clairvoyance is buried inside of you.
You know I will always return.”

The sun’s amber skin
radiates along coasts and cities,
intensifying. Brightness diminishes-
night turns into day into night once more.

“I’m still alive for you, love.”
The earth tucks in the trails of dusk
as the sun cradles revolving planets.

“See you again, soon.”
thought of the first two lines while driving and touched on the rest just now, wish I could magically pull out all of the right words
Sometimes, at the break of dawn
I contemplate where my life has gone
So many bad memories,
I'm not sure where I belong
Makes it difficult to move on.
'When did I become so withdrawn?
Is it even worth it to hang on?'

Sometimes, late at night
I contemplate suicide.
Nothing but bad dreams,
Keep me restless inside
Just a little thought in my mind:
*'What would happen to my life,
If I just left it all behind?'

Silence of last night
Laying on the pillow
Waiting to be touched
By the liquid sun.

Sleep draped eyes
Opening adorably
To steal a morning kiss
From the loved one.

Let the moon bless this spell, let it drench these woods with its cold light. My glimmering stars, grains of sand washed upon the blessed shores of this universe. Sing for me your infinite song of time and hold off your bright and cruel mother until all requested deeds have been done.

Just what lies o’er yonder lustful future? Tender embraces from my purest loved one? A thousand strokes from a wandering counterpart? A declaration of emotion from my forbidden equal? If all goes as agreed, my heart’s greatest desires will be set in stone. And written in blood under the roof of this ancient bothy. Beneath the aureole of a billion stars.
